We have different takes on him. Just yesterday a few in here were talking about size on the back end. He does not fill that need at all. Also if the idea is to improve the D, then again he is not the answer.

The Canucks were tied for 11 in scoring last year so I would concentrate on keeping the puck out of the net. I think they need big change on the back end so I am a nyet on qualifying him and actually start changing the D.

It's kind of hard to sign FAs if you are already over the cap. Buy out the crap contracts and suffer for a few years, this team isn't competing for anything accept maybe 1OA in the next couple of drafts.

I wish the reported would have asked "how was the election corrupted?" Would have loved to see her hit with a similar defamation lawsuit.

Because we backed ourselves into a corner and they play on a gawd awful team with no real prospect of getting better. It's not always the player/contract, it's the situation and position you're trading out of. Everyone knows Vancouver is in a bad spot so the leverage can be leaned on. Plus, no one wants to look bad by 'losing' a trade to a horrible run franchise like Vancouver or bail them out. Jim Benning was the only one who did this this for teams on multiple occasions (Sutter, Miller, OEL).
