You are not indifferent. Two nights ago your nose was so far up PA's poop shoot that you could separate the corn from the turd. - VANTEL
That's just your false perception when people don't poop all over them like you do on a daily basis, even though they haven't really done anything...which in and of itself is a reason to complain, I guess? |

I'm really indifferent with Allvin, at this point, unlike you, he hasn't done enough for me to like or dislike him, Briere on the other hand came in swinging for the fences and I like his first deal.
Bill Armstrong has done a masterful job with the amount of draft picks he's acquired since coming to Arizona two and a half years ago. Including the 2023 draft, so far, in his three drafts he'll have picked 31 times in three drafts including six first round picks, six second round picks and six third round picks. That's an amazing amount of really quality picks!!! - LeftCoaster
Canucks = retool - always tinkering to add to an unbalanced core
Flyers = rebuild - flushing away another core
AZ = re-do
Just drafting and trading the players for picks when they have to pay them. |

Benning will never work in the NHL again, people understand how dumb that guy is and how badly he (frank)ed up the Canucks franchise. He's one of the worst GM's in NHL history!! |

It’ll be interesting (to me) to see how the Canucks and Flyers make out over the course of their individual building praucesses. I really like Daniel Briere as GM, even without much experience his Provorov trade was good imo. I’m glad he’s now got the support from Comcast to rebuild since they turfed Dave Scott. - LeftCoaster

I don't even mind PA, I just don't have anything shoved up his hole like you. He hasn't won me over nor has he pissed me off. That will be decided later.

The Canucks are definitely not rebuilding, unfortunately, the owners just won't allow it. Idiots!!!!!!! Benning kinda ruined my fandom for them, after 53 years as a fan I just can't break the connection to them though...I've tried. The Flyers were actually my first team I ever cheered for as a kid, the Canucks were just a product of me growing up an island kid.
Coyotes are just a mess, they have been since they moved to Arizona. Bettman (frank)ed up when he allowed them to go there without a proper NHL facility. They've had seven owners since they moved to Phoenix in 1996, not one of them built an arena in a central location so they could have a stable existence. They're still a troubled franchise to this day. I really hope they stay and get a building built. Armstrong is building a great prospect pool there. |

My thoughts on Bear. Let him go. He is a bottom pair Dman that will be out until Dec. Even after his return he will be playing catchup. Instead of spending two and a half to three mil go sign someone else. |

For some reason they will never learn that you have to build through the draft in order to build a core. The Flyers are a perfect example of this as well. They always said their fanbase deserves a winner, so they kept trading, signing UFA's and re-tooling just to stay competitive. And it worked, for the most part, since 1970 they're the second most winning franchise behind only the Montreal Canadiens.
But times have changed, the salary cap all but killed the big NHL trade market. So I'm glad the Comcast kicked Dave Scott to the curb and put Dan Hilferty in as CEO, he gave the go-ahead for the team to rebuild. |

General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that D Ethan Bear underwent successful shoulder surgery. Bear was injured at the 2023 IIHF World Championship and is expected to be out for 6 months.

It's a consolation prize getting a medal and some actual meaningful hockey in the spring that the Canucks never seem to be able to play. |

Just qualify him. Then see what to do. They did send a 2nd round draft pick out to make room for him. |

Canucks = retread: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results
Flyers = retool: Going from mediocre core to another mediocre core.
Coyotes = recycle: Taking every expensive contract with only a year left and getting draft picks that they never do much with except develop for other teams. |

If the Canucks committed to a youth movement I could see him as a necessary evil to provide some muscle for players who want to take liberties with any young Canucks. But I don't think that's their plan, and they've said as much publicly. - LeftCoaster
The Canuck's are okay relying on the ref's to protect them. No need for tough players.

No they didnt. But they should qualify him, the fact hes on the LTIR to start the year makes it a no-brainer imo |

We have different takes on him. Just yesterday a few in here were talking about size on the back end. He does not fill that need at all. Also if the idea is to improve the D, then again he is not the answer.
The Canucks were tied for 11 in scoring last year so I would concentrate on keeping the puck out of the net. I think they need big change on the back end so I am a nyet on qualifying him and actually start changing the D.

Does Kari Lake attend any of the swinging parties that you & the Mrs. go to?
Hop one of those party buses to another gated community near by? |
