Because they’re a bad team with a wacko coach. It’s good to have an older guy, who has the trust of both the players and the coaches, to help the kids navigate new territory.

can easily find a vet to handle that role. Cam is back so he can take that role as well.

YOu take the 1st for Laughton. This team of "kids" isn't so young and full f kids as some may believe imo.

Now there's a more reasoned take on the Michkov situation.

This is why, if by some miracle he is there at 7, Briere needs to sprint to the podium and draft him.

All three of those guys could be considered high-floor picks.

Reinbacher's bell curve is centered on high-end #2 guy. If everything goes right he could have #1 potential but it's not as likely.

Simashev is probably the guy you'd pick if you want the D with the highest pure upside. 6'5 and skates like Duncan Keith.

Are you suggesting Simashev goes before Reinbacher?

It wouldn't shock me. Especially if it's DET or WAS picking between the two.

Kid doesn't get talked about a lot on here but he's got tremendous tools.

Don t know much about him. I'm just not sure Briere will take a prospect with a ceiling of 2nd line center with potential top pairing Dmen on the board.

Watch how he moves, providing easy exits:

Most kids who are that size are usually move awkwardly as hell, tripping over their own skates. His tools are extremely projectable.
