No eating ....lets just say that his buckets, that he fills with water, have a lot of scratches on the inside.
exhaust fumes sounds much more peaceful. - The Law
Drowning a raccoon would be tough. They're snarly female genitalias. Like that Galaxy movie with the raccoon. Giving these (frank)s ideas. |

so what you're saying is that bellwoods is actually a town from a horror movie where it seems like an idyllic utopia on the surface but in reality the townspeople keep a horrible secret that keeps the place afloat - TheMussel
Yes, and the hipsters that infect our park play the part of Zombies. They walk around in search of fancy ice cream and local brews. |

It's not cool - agreed. The City needs to get it's poop together and allow pest companies to humanely do their work. |

The fact is ...he's from another part of the world where this is totally acceptable. As are thousands of others in the City. The City is overrun with racoons. They carry dangerous disease. They are fearless and children and pets encounter them all the time in the City.
I was in the garage a few weeks ago - 10am - and I feel this furry rub on the back of my leg. I expect to look down and see me dog ...nope it's a young racoon. I can tell it's (frank)ed up (like walking funny and confused - but not rabid) and that it's been abandoned. I call the City ......nothing. I leave them a friendly message. I put it in the back alley and close my garage. All my neighbours probably got the same visitor until eventually he got run over.
The reality is the best fate would have been a bullet in its head to end the suffering but I can't do anything but leave a v/m. |

It's Friday afternoon. I'm heading home for some drinks in the back yard with my family, my friends and my racoons. |

I didn’t realize how big a problem they are in some areas. I see the odd one dead on the highway down here but that’s about it. |

Since my encounter I've been researching. Encounters with sick animals and injuries from bites and scratches are up. These banditos carry roundworm which is a (frank)ing nasty and robust parasite, and rabies. I actually like them as animals to observe, but honestly a whole bunch of them need to go to the big green bin in the sky. |

They have a racoon at the Toronto zoo...I think it just moved into an enclosure on its own and lives on visitors' pizza. |

I was thinking more along the lines of "sir you have to stop eating inner city wildlife" but yeah lemmiwinks works too - TheMussel
I was thinking a continual need for anal retrieval procedures.
(is that what lemmiwinks are??) |

I often vacation in Northern Ontario and Northern Quebec. A couple of years back, I went to the town of Amos, 40 miles North West of Val-d'or. Nearby is a wildlife sanctuary, Refuge Pageau, that takes care of injured animals near the Arctic watershed. Lots of moose, timber-wolves, arctic fox, eagles, bears....you get the picture. Their star attraction....wait for it.....is a racoon. Apparently, there are very few of them in these parts. I told them if they want more Trash Panda's, we could courier them up from down south. I guess the wolves and other animals hunt them all out. It makes sense when you see the number of wolves and bears in the sanctuary. |

Ya sorry, the "he's from another part of the world" excuse doesn't work here.
But i agree the cities need to get their poop together and begin to conrtol the population of these animals. |
