The guys not exactly a superstar. Is he really on a position to demand a trade? Same with TK.
- Dkos

Neither have to demand anything. They can play out their contracts and walk. Hart can sign a series of 1 year deals. At that point you know he wont resign so why keep him around?

has nothing to do with the talent of either player. Best to move along both imo

He will be an RFA so they have control of him for at least one more season after this. I don't think the arbitration number will be ridiculous. Probably between 5 and 6.
If they want to revisit dealing him at that deadline they can. IMO you don't deal him now unless the offer blows them away.

The Flyers can ask for the moon for Hart and if they don't get what they like, no worries. Sign his arbitration deal at 1 or 2 years then revisit moving him after that deal.

I think DB's #1 focus should be the Konecny deal. With #2 finding some sort of landing place for Hayes and Tony Angelo.

Deal from a position of strength on Konecny. Get that done, then get rid of the deadweight when the pressure isn't so high. Worse that happens is you live through one more year of TA, and you try to move Hayes again next season.

Just my opinion.

- MBFlyerfan

control for how many more years? 2? he can sign a series 1 year deals then walk believe.

I just don't think you are going to get blown away. You don't have to, just has to be a good deal. This two first as a starting point to me is unrealistic.

whats the buyout on Tony D? That could be possible I suppose. Though have to think at least 1 team with retention for a mid rd pick will bite.

I just want a clean slate and rather deal them now than later. Too much can go wrong if you wait. Don't misconstrue this for I want to give them away. I dont have to be a dela that makes sense.

Would Washington bite #8 for TK and something?

Yes, at most 2 years just like I said in my previous post. There is no urgency to deal him for a poop deal as he is under their control for next season and at least one (possible 2) seasons after that.

the buyout on Angelo is negligible IMO. I wouldnt be against it.

Sorry, I was reading the posts in order on my break, but just had the opportunity to get back online. No need to get testy but we did have this conversation during the season due to your daily posts about scrubs, neanderthals, etc. I asked you who would you like to get ND's minutes and you said any younger player from the Phantoms. Who from the Phantoms do you think would benefit from the 8 or so minutes? Tanner L? Olle L? J Cates? You'd be complaining about how bad the archaic dinosaur Torts is misusing them as much as you post about Risto being a 3rd pair d man at best. Be happy. Bust out some tunes and have a beer. Currently listening to Kansas "Song for America" on my turntable. Try to enjoy life aside from bashing people on HB for not having the same opinion as yours.

With one year left, unless he’s a locker room cancer I don’t see the point in buying him out. Try to sell at the deadline if you can’t move him this summer. Or just play out the year. Our d is atrocious.

You come on and instead of confronting me directly like a man, you make BS posts referencing me. Then you have to gall to give advice out. If you don't like what I post or are in disagreement, then speak up and offer a counter point. Or you can join the other trolls and instead of actually addressing my opinions, which you can't do intelligently. Which is why you take this approach. Since we're giving out advice. Have a thicker skin and understand that disagreeing with someone's opinion, is not bashing people. Disagreeing is not against the code of conduct. However your previous post and this one is. So my advice to you is to lighten up and embrace that you aren't as smart as others and know less about the sport of hockey than others. Be mature about that and maybe make an attempt to learn something.

I agree with you on Hart. I think the Flyers are in a good position with him. Whether it’s the fault of the team or not his numbers aren’t that great. They should be able to sign him to something reasonable. All the experts seem to think he’s got the makings of a very good #1 goalie. If you can lock him up for a few years at a reasonable cost; why not?
- Dkos

Here is the issue with that. If he is willing to sign a short term deal for a few years. The cap hit is likely to be higher. Secondly, in 3 years, he is a UFA. So if you sign him to a deal for 2-3 years. He will then have UFA leverage for his next contract. Or the possibility that you lose him to free agency. The situation is that the Flyers have to decide between July 1 and the next season, whether they view him as a long term peice and if so. They need to sign him to a longer term deal. Or it cost them more in cap hit down the road as he would have UFA leverage.

What if package deal. Say pick 22/bee to move up to like 10-14 range? Say michkov drops just outside that top 10 area?

Good thing we’re trading exerting. Sanheim is just one player. The Flyers are simply gonna have to get creative with Couturier and Farabee, if Farabee can’t live up to his deal.
- SuperSchennBros

That Couturier contract was such a colossal mistake (even without the back injuries).

I like moving up a little on pick 2 in case someone slides. Maybe Sale? I think Bee is a little too much, though.

I see your point, but don’t trust the flyers with long term deals. Somehow it’ll go wrong. Also, I’m just not convinced he’s the guy yet.
