Really hard to know which UFA(s) the Jets might target without knowing what they are going to do before the draft with PLD, etc

Also like guys like Graves and Wood but problem is NJ has lots of cap room right now and will probably re-sign if they met their expectations, but time will tell I guess. We do need some guys with some jam for sure, like Souchy, bu Seattle is like NJ.

Hathaway might be a possibility. I would like to add a guy like Bunting, Haula (NJ) or Barbashev but not sure that's possible, or even desirable to a lot of people. Who knows, if we don't get a couple of centres back from our trades, O'Reilly would look really good for two years. But I'm sure the Canes and Bruins have noticed O'Reilly's name, so so much for that.

Also Florida expecting Ekblad and Montour to miss time next season and looking for Dmen

Same with Dubois to LA, they have little cap to work with and the only goalies they have signed are prospects for their AHL team and Phoenix Copley who's a career backup, really don't see how they fit PLD, a goalie and whatever else they need to do with their roster.

My friends in the know in the hockey world say getting Byfeild would be a major mistake by Chevy. His value is vastly overrated.

If a deal happens with LAK then Vilardi + would be the much better option. Even Kaliyev would be a better option than QB.

Im torn here and willing to take a chance on either. I agree there are some red flags and overrated viBe with Byfield but he is still only 20 and as for Villardi, he has major, major!! health risks. Back issues do not go away, they come back over and over again

Mercer, Clarke, Nemec, these guys just won't be available for the likes of Dubois or Hellebuyck imo.

They MIGHT be able to get Byfield in a Dubois trade since the Kings would be acquiring a long term center, have a plethora of other centers in their system and Byfield's stock has dropped.

I expect the Dubois and Hellebuyck trades to look like better versions of the Copp trade.
