We got it for like 6 weeks straight last summer in Alberta from California/Oregan, parts of Alberta have been under it for like a month now.

I don't remember it being such a news dominating crisis then but also people in NYC weren't getting dry eyes 🤷

The Leafs don't have the picks to make this worthwhile for Philly.

I've gone down that road with flyer fans. He's worth a LOT which is surprising because goalies really never get big packages. A straight up first round pick would be pretty close to fair value.

Nylander/Marner...?

Not that many teams are competitive and have the room to offer him his money ...Leafs have both to offer. Not to mention being his second home that he loves for his entire adult life. All to say ...he could leave ..but it won't be as simple as who's got $1 more to offer.

He'll be back. Mark me down in Wedgies June prediction list ...

1. Matthews re-signs in Toronto (maybe later in the summer).
2. Murray is traded or bought out.

If Brad can sign ROR that will be the first thing I think Dubas wouldn't/couldnt do.

He’s pretty good 5v5. His advanced numbers really break it down. His problems have been short handed. Doesn’t help when the team defense is embarrassingly bad and breaks down in front of you in those situations. On a different team, I don’t think this is nearly the same concern. I bet he’ll thrive.

Flyers probably want a late first for him. If you need to shed salary, they’ll need another pot sweetener in a 2nd as well. Pretty much like the Provorov deal.

So, Philly might want a 1st. Even if it's a late one, they might only get that if they also take on a CAP dump with it. And even then, it could be unlikely.

Revenue Canada coming after Bautista’s Retirement Compensation Agreement which helps lower taxes for non-Canadians playing here. Not clear if specific to his situation or if it has broader implications. If so will hurt attracting players in all the sports.

Could be a good signing for any team getting a motivated player for 2 years.

Being how he’s 24, I think a pick in the 20s is feasible. Most goalies don’t even get their full-time break until then. He’s ready to go.

But I don’t even know who wants him. Since he is only 24, I’m fine with holding on and riding it out.

It’s not like Fedotov is ever going to play in Philly after the Russians charged him, jailed him, and hid him away in the frozen tundra. He’s Red Army for life now. Sticking it out with Hart is a perfectly fine option for them.
