As TFP was first to report, the Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired defenceman Ivan Provorov from the Philadelphia Flyers in a three-way with the Los Angeles Kings.

While the trade is not yet official at the time of this update, the Blue Jackets are sending a 2023 first-round pick (originally acquired from L.A. mid-season) and a second-round draft pick to the Flyers.

The Flyers originally sent Provorov to the Kings in exchange for defencemen Sean Walker and Helge Grans and goalie Cal Petersen, upon which the Kings flipped Provorov to Columbus.

Los Angeles is also retaining 30 per cent of Provorov’s contract.

So the 2nd is the Jackets'? If so that makes the deal even better.

Already posted the article from January where Friedman talks about how frustrated Provorov and the Flyers were with each other that led to 5 months of trade rumors before today's actual trade. Try and keep up, slowpoke.
