1. Getting an nhl worthy right handed dman back that balances out our pairings

2. Clearing out 2 contract slots of players that have zero future here

3. Getting a look at a young prospect for the ahl team to see if there’s anything there.


The minor cap bump helped Danny get top dollar back here. But there’s no doubt Danny worked at this. No doubt he utilized the leverage available to him with these teams.

My lord what a breath of fresh air. Fletcher couldn’t fathom a deal like this. Wouldn’t even dream of it.

Walker doesn't balance out anything. He's not really that good. Just another bottom basement defenseman. It's a good deal overall but Walker is nothing special.
