Even if Hart were to go on and be a .920 goalie for the next 5 yearson another team, it doesn’t matter. We know what he will do here, on the flyers, and it’s extremely mediocre. The chance of him somehow coming out strong in 5 years after the rebuild is starting to turn around is minimal. the risk of injury or even just fatigue of being on a dumpster for so long makes it crystal clear he should be traded |

Vinny made it happen because the organization showed him that he was unwelcomed. Vinny didn’t come to a conclusion of wanting to move on his own, he chose to sign here two and half years before. - SuperSchennBros
yes he did. Yes he made it happen 100% when he could have sat back and collected his full $$. He held all the cards. |

It’s always easy to run to the Phil Myers comparison…and lazy, especially if you don’t know anything about the new player. - SuperSchennBros
read his bio corky. sounds familiar. though you go on with your bad self |

What kind of return do you think Petersen has lol - ClaudeFather

Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Corky, St Ronnie, Lamont. Keep using the same predictable names as you showcase your lack of creativity.
What’s amazing to me is, as you spent 24 hours a day here and believe you’re respected here and when you finally get yourself banned, you just “login” to a new fresh account. Why would anyone believe your anymore respected in the outside world than you are here. That’s if you see much of the outside world, you spend an awful lot of time here battling your online demons.
I’ll respond to you in an hour and half, I’ve got work to do. |

I'd be looking to move Petersen if they can.. He's got a higher cap hit. Not sure why LA signed him to that much really. - Hextall271
Best case scenerio is Petersen rediscovers form- Flyers retain salary and move him at the deadline. Worst case, Petersen is gone in 2 yrs- cap hit gone. A similiar comparison for me is Lehtera. I thought his contract was longer then 2 yrs when he was acquired. Can"t remember exactly. |

It was 2 years, but Jori was so slow it seemed like 20.
11 points in 89 games as a Flyer. Even the much maligned Dale Weise managed 19 points in 88 games in those two years. |

With the right vibe and mix of players this is not a top lottery team unless they shed more talent. Tk and hart primarily. |

Make no mistake, no Flyers fan is rooting for Hart to be traded. We finally have a home grown goalie who is talented. But, given the rebuild and the fact that Hart is certainly a valuable commodity, it will be malpractice for the Flyers not to answer every call on Hart. If there is competition and a bidding war for Hart, the return could be amazing. I doubt a lot of people thought prior to yesterday that Provy would get us a 1st, 2nds, a prospect, as well as a serviceable 28 year old RHD who has value as both a veteran and with his cap hit, is readable at the TDL. From Briere’s presser, it sure sounded like there was a decent amount of interest and somewhat of a bidding war.
If that’s the case, there’s no reason to expect anything less than a 1st rounder and a blue chip prospect from a team in contention the next several years. On the flip side, Hart is pencilled in to backstop a D corp of Walker, Senhaim, Risto, York, Zemula, Attard, TDA and Seeler. His GAA and likely save % ain’t gonna be pretty with that next year.

Sometimes the timing doesn’t add up and it’s up to the GM to recognize that. I’ll be rooting for the kid if he goes elsewhere |

thanks, could not remember the term. I'm okay with acquisition of Petersen. Petersen will be long gone by the time the Flyers are good again.
Just signals the end of Hart. The return for Hart is the priority. |

He hasn't had a pretty SV% since the pandemic.
But the 18-19 defense of Provorov, Sanheim, Ghost, Gudas, Hagg and MacDonald didn't stop him putting up .917, which is still his best season to date.

this is true and you can make a case even if you move TK, that Coots, Cam and the kids could still keep the Flyers out of the bottom 10

what salary are they covering now? Hayes will not be back unless they do a complete 180. They will buy him out if not trade. - hello it's me 2050
my mistake, I thought I read this morning the Flyers were also covering some salary in this deal but I can't find it now so I guess they are not. |

Hart is not a mediocre goalie, not even close. If Hart played for the Bruins this past season he would have won the Vezina hands down. He has played as well as any goalie can play given the team in front of him and he has been a winner at every level including a gold medal in the WJCs. Now if Hart has told Briere that he will not resign here or Briere has determined resigning Hart to a huge contract after next season does not jive with where the team will be, then I have no issue with trading Hart as long as Briere can get a true haul from another team. Otherwise Hart IMO should be kept and built around. |
