Yeah it's not as strong as europeen leagues, but it's the strongest league in one of the planet's biggest market. There's not really a parralel to be done with other leagues. The exposure is huge but the competition is not the greatest

Well the Liga MX (Mexican league) is a serious league.

There's the USL which the Impact was a part of before joining the MLS and there's the CPL (Canadian premier league) which they play agaisnt during the canadian cup to go to the concacaf champion's league
