If 27 goals and 66 points is an off-season, he is still going to get a huge payday. - LAHawk
I mean compared to previous seasons. A 40 goal scorer will command a lot more than a 27 goal score. What if his production drops off some more? It would take a lot of nerve on ADB’s part to wait another season and risk dropping production and injury if a good contract is offered now. |

Huh? - Mr Ricochet
Hes already been there four years, I believe, so next year is year five. I guess someone drafted this year could play in year six, but most likely year seven. Not sure he wants to wait. Not sure his owner wants to wait. His actions this summer will tell the tale.
Not sure that answers your question. |

I agree, but I heard puck luck (or lack of it) had a lot to do with the decreased production. |

Vegas reminds me of the 2015 Blackhawks against the Ducks, who were throwing hits no human could survive. While Florida could outhit and or intimidate Boston, Toronto and Carolina on their way to the finals, every Vegas player is playing fearlessly and are willing to take hits to make plays. Unlike Marner, Matthews, Tavares and Nylander who had no interest in competing in tough areas on the ice, the Vegas players are more than willing to do so. With the physical play not having an impact does Florida have something else to offer to make a comeback? |

Looks like Bob lost his magic during that 10 layoff. |

Vegas is huge on the back-end. There are no Adam Bovquist’s on that back end.

Bob had a clear crease and net front and didn’t have to face allot of shots from the slot and in front of him, especially against Toronto and Carolina. Vegas aren’t intimidated and are crowding his crease and are willing to play hard in the slot. |

True, but all their forwards are willingly playing the hard areas on the ice. Without the intimidation factor can Florida compete? |

Agree. Also, Stevie Y might be under some pressure to show some results after four years of rebuilding. This year's picks are unlikely to help the parent club for 2-3 years from now, which are years 7-8 of his rebuild. - mohel
KD should acquire DeBrincat for Toronto’s 2025 1st round pick, the Rangers 2025 4th and the rights to Shawn Lalonde. |

Aiden Hill is out bobbing Bob, but yes, Vegas plays with no fear of going to the dirty areas.

Good hard hit, I’m surprised Eichel got up as quickly as he did. |

Oh, I thought you meant Stevie Y has been with DET for 7-8 yrs but are saying by the time the #9 pick gets to DET he will have been there for 7-8 yrs. ........
Yes, 2-3 yrs waiting on a kid or Dcat inserted right now for that 9th, a 2nd and a 3rd? And if I'm OTT what does Dcat want? I'm guessing they made a good offer, he's skated with Stutzle, Tkachuck, Chychrun, Giroux, Batherson, Norris, some fine young players, what else does he want?....... I'm not waiting to please the kid anymore and gonna move him and get some prime picks in this deep draft.
Can't wait to see the Kasper kid come up with DET. He's who I wanted the Hawks to grab with last yrs 7th overall. Kid reminds me a lot of McTavish. |

Lucky he saw him coming at the last minute and had a chance to bail, otherwise he may not have got up. |

3 of the 4 scored on Bob, and a couple last game, he never saw. Pucks and people to the net is never a bad thing but when a goalie is in the zone it's the only way to beat him. ........ Take away his eyes and or get some tips/deflections.
Hats off to Vegas for a solid plan and executing it. |

Yes, they've had some grade A's it's just that Hill has answered. But, no doubt the Knights have been the better team for 3 of the 5 periods played. Game 1 the first 2 periods were about even IMO.
Gonna be a rough go if Gudas can't return to the series with Vegas being so heavy in the attack slot.

I'm sure Ottawa, after trading this year's 1st for Chychrun, would love to get a top 10 pick + + for Cat. A Debrincat trade involving Detroit and Ottawa is a great match. And the Wings would still have #17 and some 2nds to add to their prospect pool. - boilermaker100
Yea i just don't see him giving up the 9th pick or anything else, when he was in TB he built through the draft and hockey trades. |

Yep, LVG hasn't bought into the "modern" Dman concept of small puck moving dmen.

Ah yes, the Four Horsemen - Joki, Boqvist, Beaudin and Mitchell. |
