Drury should just name Knoblauch interim head coach, and if he does good, hire him. If not, wait for some better to become available. Is that allowed?

How far are you willing to go in a trade for Mitchkov?

Very. Everything I hear and see is saying that he is right up there as the best Russian prospect since Ovi. In 3 years we will absolutely need him. If it’s pick 10 or later we could absolutely make that trade without making our team worse right now. It’s hard for me to imagine he falls that far though

If he is that good why would he fall?

Hmm with the rangers in a win now mode not sure Drury would give up assets now for 3 years down the road. He may not be the GM by then

If you could do it with picks and prospects I say do it, but you’re probably right about drury

He would be a solid fit to this team. Pain in the a$$ to play against. I think you got restructure the lineup a little bit. Make Trochek your 3rd line center and give Chytil the 2c job. Trochek has skill but he is a hard nosed player and you should create a line around that identity

Ive been saying this for a few weeks now. And if Chytil cant handle the role and step up as a 2C, he needs to go.

Right type of player we need. Wrong actual player. I love the way he plays and wish we had more guys like him, but for the money he’s going to get and the term, it won’t be worth it. He also has a pretty long injury history, hard pass but he’s definitely the type of player I think we need more of.

Its been mentioned but for the right price bringing quickie back could be a good move. Freeing up Kakko to move up to the 1st line.

Fischer, Hathaway, Fast, Acciari, Janmark, R. Colton. If the Leafs would like to trade Jarnkrok to us, Id like that too. Id like these guys here.

Absolutely not, but personally I think Knoblauch gives us as good a chance as any of the other current candidates. If it could be on an interim basis, even better. Better than giving 3 years to a guy you waited over a month to sign. Gotta think Lav is feeling a little slighted at this point.

I don’t think he’s what this team needs right now. I also don’t see what line he would play on, 3rd?
