They’ve had the investigation. There was an independent 107 report that was pretty clear about people’s roles.

Cuz that was a 3 to 4 stride hit at best. Eichel toe picked trying to avoid it. Good hit, bad result. BS call IMO. (and Eichel is magically not hurt )

Tkachuk came directly from the bench with the intent of it.

The hit itself was clean, in that he didn't hit him bad and the reason it looked as bad as it did was because Eichel tried to avoid it late, but it was still predatory in nature.

I have no problem with Tkachuk getting 10, so that the game doesn't/didn't become a complete joke.

Team getting the poop kicked out of them and they start taking runs (again). For literally the first time, maybe ever, the refs did their job well.

And it's not like it was one-sided, either. Vegas lost Barbashev for 10 on the play, too.

Having seen the replay of the Tkachuk hit only and absolutely nothing else that would provide context, damn that was a good hard hit. Shoulder to shoulder. It's not Tkachuks fault that Eichel poop himself so hard last second he basically toe picked into the hit.

IMO with a flat ish cap for a few years coming, it would make sense to sign a 3~4 deal and sign for more once the cap goes up.

No really, how many charging penalties were called this season? I watched 82 leaf games plus playoffs and can't remember a single charging call for the life of me.

Perhaps the NHL actually needs to start enforcing those.

It's happened an annoyingly stupid amount of times these playoffs when a team is getting molly whopped, and I'm glad they're finally starting to hand out 10's for it.

Honestly, with how weak the local media has become at asking tough questions, it would be a story for a day or two and then they would move on.

Okay, so:

1. Keefe not getting fired.
2. Matthews will make a poop ton for 3 years or a poop ton for 8 years.
3. None of the top 4 are getting traded.
4. Quenville, bad.
5. Babcock bad.
6. Leafs have very little $ to fill out the roster so Hellybuck is way too expensive.
7. With $9M Treiliving can get a bigger, stronger, meaner D, a cheap bottom 6 and a couple of bangers with talent on the top 6 wings so the top 4 $ gobblers that can't win and can't be traded don't poop to bed in the playoffs again. But maybe not so bad, if the GM can gently move Schwarzcopf Murray then he'll have a few more $ to play with.
