Still can't believe that Homer almost signed him to a 3-year deal. - Tomahawk
My eyes couldn’t roll back far enough into the back of my head that Holmgren would cry disrespect against Simon Gagne. He made Gagne wait the majority of the summer for a contract that never happened to go after a player who didn’t want to be here. Gagne was already one of our own who wanted to end his career here. |

We trade Provy for a 2nd in 2023 and a 1st round in 2024.
Hayes goes for a depth player and retained salary.
Biggest surprise isn't TK, it's Coots getting traded to MTL for their #5 overall this year.
Danny B leaks a story about Connor Bedard's insatiable cocaine habit and he drops to us at #5.
Keith Jones finally completes word search that Danny gave him to keep him occupied prior to the draft.
We still finish out of playoffs.
I think we need to bury a pile of dog poop at center ice when we make the ice this year. Exercise those demons. - cdearth23
You’re gonna take cap back on Provorov, I promised you. |

Lol, pass the bong, please.
There is no way in hell that Montreal is giving up 5OA for a guy coming off 2 surgeries, a season+ on the sidelines and 7 years left on his deal at 7.75 million per. |

Caulfield got paid. If he stays on the ice that contract is a small steal. - mickel25
He looks like a rocket 🚀 compared to slow LaZy HaZe to the same money. I must admit Habs, Sabres, Senators, to name a few. Looks to having a better future looking at young raw talent. |

If they hired Gagne would that fall under modern thinking or same old Flyers? - mickel25
We can debate and argue it for The next three years |

A very good to great team could win with Hart. A goalie needs to make the saves he’s supposed to make. Honestly though, Hart is a middle of the road goalie. - Minnyhock
Probably. But without a constant tire fire in front of him I think he can probably be good enough to help a team that goes deep the playoffs. |

I do think Danny will make some big moves. I don't think we have enough assets for a team to move from the top 5 in this draft.
I'd be fine moving anyone on the roster. I'd be sad to see Hart go. Other than that, not so much. |

That might be a blessing in disguise if the best deals to be made are for future picks.
There isn’t anyone on this roster I wouldn’t move if the deal makes sense. A few guys I like but hardly anyone I’d consider an untouchable cornerstone. |

Vegas would be in the finals whether it was a healthy Thompson, Brossoit or Hill. Lol maybe not Quick tho.

Florida getting trucked. And the dirty way they are playing I am happy to see it. |

Vegas fourth line is way better than flyers first line by a mile. |

The reality is that I said Florida's physicality and forecheck wouldn't bother Vegas (predicted Vegas is 6). Vegas is just as physical as Florida, but with more talent. On a more serious note, I'm hearing that there is lots of momentum for the desert dogs to relocate to Atlanta. If the NHL goes back to Atlanta for a third time they all should be FIRED on the spot! Thanks! |

There would be if Kevin was as good in Philly as Von was.

Does Mike Babcock strike you as a rebuild type of coach? Does Columbus with players like Laine,Werenski and JG on their roster strike you as a rebuilding team? I think this hire tells us they are in it to win now. That is why I feel Columbus wants to trade their 3rd overall pick in this draft for a haul. If I were the Flyers, I would do whatever takes to get that pick. Columbus has $16M in cap space, would they take Provey and TK, plus a prospect or the Flyers' top pick next season for their 3rd overall pick? If the Flyers somehow can come away with getting Columbus' pick without giving up their 7th overall pick, that would really move this rebuild forward! |

Vegas has skill, offensive depth and Cassidy knows how to get a team to play defense, a deadly combination. |

If the draft wasn’t this deep I might agree. But the guys in the top 3 could all turn out to be elite. There are other ways to add talent with cap space without having to sell you’re future down the drain. |

It can be argued that the guy they pick at #3 is already better than TK and Provorov.

I remember the Dan Cleary days fondly. Similar to former Eagle Frank Gore. - TobyFlenderson
One of the more bizarre episodes in Flyers salary cap history. Thankfully the deal never went thru, and Cleary went back to Detroit where he managed to score 9 points in 69 games before ending his career in the AHL. That was the guy Homer allegedly wanted to sign for 3 years.

Daniel Cleary is going to Philadelphia Flyers for 3 years, AAV of $2.75 Million. NTC. Deal won't be official till end of month.

Maybe now that weirdo Jamey Baskow can stop crying about how the Bob trade was the worst trade in Flyers history. |
