Was really depressing those first two games at home. But then the Flyers won on a Lindros goal in OT in game 3 (were 4-0 in OT those playoffs), and won again in NJ in game 4 to knot the series. And back home, they were tied into the last minute of the 3rd period of game 5 until...
I went to one of the games at the Spectrum that series...yeah NJ just strangled the life out of teams that year with the trap. Claude Lemieux scored from an unscreened shot from the blueline to Hextall's blocker side that pretty much ended the game. That was a depressing series. |

Excluding Hayes or Tony D. Predict the first flyers trade under the 3 headed monster management group. |

I guess I will have to say Provorov. Dont ask me to where or for who.
Dark horse candidate is Konecny.
Even darker horse is Hart. But with Hellebuyck on the market we may not get the deal we should for Hart. |

Provorov, I think itās time for both player and the team to part ways. Heās clearly hit a wall, he needs to be down a couple on the depth chart. |

many teams need a goalie upgrade. Helle imo wont effect Hart being moved. Plus Hart will be cheaper $ wise they next few years.
dont see the flyers moving him, though for some reason don't think torts is 100% sold on him. |

Didn't realize that Gags was coaching now. That's good to see.
Roy's rumored to be heading back to the NHL. Hope he takes Gags with him. - Tomahawk
I thought that was him on the bench with Roy when I watched the game last night. One of my all time fave Flyers. |

You think teams with the means will choose to trade for Hart over Hellebuyck because he is cheaper?
I disagree Hellebuyck's availability will not impact what teams are interested in Hart.
I agree with you that I don't see the Flyers moving him. At least not this offseason/season.

Still can't believe that Homer almost signed him to a 3-year deal.

Yes cost will always be a factor. Teams value goalies differently. Some may feel you can win with either in goal.
agree in bold I though you were saying the opposite.

Didn't he end up going back to Detroit for less than a mil? Strange times. It's no Deslauriers contract but it would've been ugly given the reported terms. |

You can win with Darcy Kuemper and Adin Hill in goal. Even Antti Niemi in goal.

Kumper didn't have a great series though he is/was a good goalie. If Vegas wins some dope gonna overpay Hill I bet.
Hart has good value to me and teams are in need of an upgrade.

Haha yeah, they didn't have the space at the time so they just invited him on a PTO with the promise of signing him later. He noped out of there and went back to Detroit.
Homer didn't exactly have a great track record of keeping his word I guess. See: Gagne, Richards, Carter, etc. |

A very good to great team could win with Hart. A goalie needs to make the saves heās supposed to make. Honestly though, Hart is a middle of the road goalie.

I still he think he has the shine/reputation where teams may think otherwise. Plus you do have to take into consideration the team he has been on. It wears on you

I donāt disagree that someone will overpay to get Hart and Helle. Many WPG fans want Helle gone because heās overpriced and they donāt think he comes up big in big games. I donāt think Hart having so many games played at 24 is a plus.

Be real curious what Harts value really is and what is being offered. Also curious how the 3 headed monster views him. |

We trade Provy for a 2nd in 2023 and a 1st round in 2024.
Hayes goes for a depth player and retained salary.
Biggest surprise isn't TK, it's Coots getting traded to MTL for their #5 overall this year.
Danny B leaks a story about Connor Bedard's insatiable cocaine habit and he drops to us at #5.
Keith Jones finally completes word search that Danny gave him to keep him occupied prior to the draft.
We still finish out of playoffs.
I think we need to bury a pile of dog poop at center ice when we make the ice this year. Exercise those demons. |

This chart is from a piece trying to gauge Filip Gustavsson's trade value this summer:
and add to that...
Nedeljkovic (25) was traded for Bernier and a 3rd.
Campbell (28) + Clifford were traded for Trevor Moore and two 3rds.
Lehner (28) was traded for M Subban, a prospect and a 2nd.
Ben Bishop (26) was traded for Cory Conacher and a 4th.
Adin Hill (26) was traded for a prospect and a 2nd.
Vladar (23) was traded for a 3rd.
I wouldn't expect a king's ransom for Hart. |
