Gonna be real kick to your nuts when Drury hires his top choice...
- tomburton99
If they hire him and don't even give Roy a meeting, I'm gonna be pissed off |

No I'm just being a Richard. I think (Hope) the group is right, that because they wait so long that they want Roy. But I also don't trust Chris Drury's unearned arrogance since he's been a Ranger. So there is that. |

Is everyone writing off Jay Leach since he'd be a first time head coach/would have been hired already if he was the guy they liked? |

If Kris Knoblauch can't get job after paying his dues here, I'd say there is 0% Leach gets the job. Also I question his decision making after he divorced Kathryn Tappen. |

Yea Drury hand picked Knoblauch to be the Hartford coach. If he isn’t getting the job it shows Upper management doesn’t want a first time coach. Otherwise I think he would have been hired already due to his success in the organization |

I need to see reports that the rangers are meeting with Roy before I have any hope he is the guy
Still think we will just randomly find out Lavy got hired at some point soon. Hopefully not though - TPC
If I understand it correctly, trying to have a conversation with Roy before the end of the CHL season would be some sort of illegal poaching situation. |

I believe you, but that's a pretty stupid. I could see if he was still under contract with the Avs. |

I disagree. You have to remember the symbiotic relationship between the NHL and the CHL. About 45% of the draftees still come from up here, so they can't just let the NHL strip out coaches (or otherwise AHL-eligible players) without there being a real danger of watering down the Canadian Junior leagues, which would eventually water down the NHL product.
...IMHO. |

I do, and I'm fine with the CHL player transfer agreement. Guys like Crosby, Mcdavid and Bedard are big money makers for their teams. Coaches are a different story. |

Who helps those players develop into money makers? Giving coaches free reign to jump ship to the bigs mid-season won't help anyone long term. |

I had that when I was a baby and I turned out like this so good luck.
(In all seriousness I'm sure everything will be OK.) |

I want our baby to be a minion for Halloween and I told my wife we could make him jaundice so he could accomplish it through method acting. |

This is going to be a good decision and I believe he’ll be hired. He’s coached teenagers for like 7 years now, he literally just won their big trophy, and we have oodles of kids for him to coach into success.
I think we should all be excited if they get Roy
Congrats on the baby pickle!! |
