Rumor is Kjell Samuelson’s dog works in the mail room and was spared the indignity of shredding his documents.

Fresh bakery sticky buns are the best.

Still early though nothing to be impressed about this new regime and the GM. We shall see after the draft and what the next 6 weeks bring.

The 3 headed monster can talk all they want, the action will speak volumes. Some of the things they say don't give me a warm feeling.

Hope Eichel wins a cup.

Bill any thoughts on Zanetti? Why is playing in Europe instead of phantoms?

- hello it's me 2050

Ahhhh remember the good ol days last year when tools like mjl said they wouldn’t trade coots straight up for eichel? Good times

Based on the fact Babcock is a terrible person and it’s documented, I don’t get it. In terms of success, I understand.

About a week ago, I’m at the local bar hanging out with a couple regulars and a guy from Columbus joined into the conversation. According to him, Torts was and still is beloved to Columbus. They say he’s very much missed. Maybe they believe Babcock brings what Torts did.

There is enough information in your post here to formulate that you're incoherent in conceptualizations and unable to actually process many of the opinions made. You considering it to be whining, is the evidence of that. When a franchise is stuck in old ways. Continuing to operate as they did pre-cap and don't evolve in the modern day league in terms of development, strategy and team molding. Then they deserve to be labeled old and stagnate. They are not and have not been EFFECTIVE for over a decade.

Not most likely!

What's different between you and I is although I may be disliked. I actually participate and offer an opinion. You don't. If you have an issue with any of my opinions. Then reply and say so and we can have a conversation. I challenge you to it. Man up and stop with your childish nonsense. Just another troll.

Torts has a huge ego, but at least he's never referred to himself in the third person lol.

All you offer is criticism and then get suspiciously quiet when folks ask what players and personnel you’d go after.

So you don’t offer anything.

your presence here is mostly pathetic

No, I don’t like when you say things that don’t make sense and when I ask you to define what you mean, you don’t have an answer. Babcock shouldn’t be in the league anymore but who do you expect NHL teams to coach their teams aside from NHL coaches? Maybe you should manage a team and teach us all a thing or two.

Is this actually a real comment? Ummmm, here's a brilliant idea. Maybe try new blood in the coaching ranks instead of the old recycled stuff. Someone has to get their start somewhere. There are other coaches at other levels that can move into NHL coaching positions. It's called evolution.

You mean old coaches who have made it to multiple Stanley cup finals and have won a cup like Babcock and Laviolette. When someone decides to hire Joel Quinville, that’s just another recycle hire even though he’s another successful NHL coach with an impressive resume?

Alright, name 3 coaches that you would hire instead that aren’t considered “recycled”.

This!
Enough with the retreads already. Funny, but just looking back at the history of the Flyers, their 2 most successful coaches, Fred Shero & Mike Keenan, were hired with zero NHL coaching experience.

It’s not our job to find the top coaches currently working in the minors, Europe Or Canadian junior hockey. That’s why you have a hockey ops dept and general managers. Asking a random poster to go out and name the best non NHL coaching prospects is kind of pointless.

Of if you're the Flyers you don't even bother.... just outsource everything to consultants.

Man, I wonder if they could just outsource hockey ops entirely. May be an improvement.

Thanks.
I was considering a reply but I used to be a net-bot rager and don't want to return to that role. It rarely did any good for anyone.
As to the opinions here being whiny? Many are. They retain validity because at least they took the time to sort their thinking into a string of symbols.
I appreciate the effort.
My personal view is that the Flyers have had especially crappy luck.
When the gods turn on you, duck and cover and weather the storm.
I've seen shards of what were hurricane 'ready' structures. Sometimes resistance is futile.
I hope with fresh hands and minds the Flyers get resurrected.
Sometimes hope is all we have.

Danny Briere on @975JKShow today:

“For years- there wasn’t a lot of development. We did a lot of patchwork, we got a lot of free agents, older guys, and we tried to go for it. And I felt there was a team that was kind of always stuck in the middle.”

JK: “Did you think that at the time when you were seeing someone else make those decisions?”

Briere: “Yes, I thought so. The last- probably 8 or 9 years I felt that way.”
