Honestly, he wasn't perfect.... but he did a good job overall.

Better than Trudeau and better than the current alternatives.

In retrospect, he was a pretty good PM.

Or you know, let's just separate. That's always on the table.

I haven't always been the biggest fan of that option, but sometimes when I compare with what's going on in the western part of the country I wonder if that wouldn't be the best thing to do.

1- I don't think he's said something pertaining to liking those guys lol

and

2- we've been talking politics this morning without any endless debates that end up with anger and insults, let's try to keep it that way...

It seemed like a dead options a few years ago.

I think Paul St-Pierre-Plamondon is doing a very good job with the PQ. Somewhat making them relevant again.

Because they're the only real separatist party in Quebec. QS will never be elected and I'm not convinced they'd make independance their priority if they did.

it sucks, those 2 parties should merge, it isn't like they're light-years away from each other with their platforms.

My family was always talking politics, even dating back to me grand-parents (my grandfather voted for the PQ and my grandmother for the liberals while their 8 kids were split even.... good times at the dinner table).

I always found it important to talk about these things, otherwise nothing changes.

Unfortunately, it's harder and harder to have discussions without people going to the extremes.

My dad and my brother can't even talk for 5 minutes about it without almost insulting each other... So now we avoid it.

It sucks really.

well, it doesn't happen very often so I think it's worth pointing out that things have gone pretty smoothly in this thread so far today, we can be proud of ourselves.

They can't merge. QS is too far left.

The PQ was always a party focused on independance first, economic views after (which explains why they ended up killing each other most of the time).

At best, one of them would die so the votes wouldn't be as divided but it doesn't sound like that's happening (although the PQ almost did).

yeah, "adjustments" and compromises would need to be made, I know it won't happen but I just find they could become something interesting with more political weight if they did merge.

really, eh?

can I play most of the game single-player, or is multiplayer basically imposed?

I think you play online (as you walk into world events with other players sometimes, kinda randomly) but I've played solo yesterday just fine.
