The pollution is more concerning. One of the worst polluted city's alltime per capita. - THE EVIL WITHIN
What kind of nonsense are you spouting? "Per capita" is a meaningless metric when talking about pollution. And Pittsburgh doesn't even make the top parts of the list worldwide or even in the United States.
OK. Go with that. So he gambled and lost. He needs to pick up and leave if that's the case and that's what he did. - Only_A_Ladd
Well think about it. Saying stuff publicly no less with the likes of Rogers and Bell owning the org. Taxing to his family etc. So this either was really taxing to be here or it wasnt. Pulling the family card, then leaving in the end this wasnt about his family, to your point above, cause now his ass gotta pick up and move that aint stressful at all
To me, that proved it was nothing more than a negotiating tactic. And look where he landed, President, surpassing a GM role.
Dudas isnt a dumb person, he knew exactly what he was doing. His negotiating skills? Meh. Look at the leafs contracts, then losing out on the job that was his, but then gain this may very well be he best (and first) neogtiating win , as it landed him president.

Yeah, earth.org lists the top 15 most polluted cities in the US. The top 5 polluters are in California. Pittsburgh checks in at #14.

It has improved slightly, but definitely not optimal for your lungs. 🫁

Dubas is a climate pledge guy. He will not leave any negative climate footprints. - THE EVIL WITHIN
I'm over the environmental stuff. I just want him to squeeze what excitement he still can out of the twilight of the cores' careers and set the Penguins up for whatever comes next.
The dynamic in TO is amazing. So much pressure from the media, but so little from the fans.
You are caught between your love for hockey and your love for winning. Winning is always secondary and it’s evident by the way you blindly support a gm who was gifted with superstars and he rewarded you w 1 playoff win in 5 years. 1. That’s it. Just 1. Not to mention the kid in dc is gonna be a stud.
Funny thing is the pressure in Pitt is going to be far greater than what he has ever experienced. Guess he is not taking time off. Guess he IS going to go to another org besides TO.
In TO there were assets to trade. Moves to
make. In Pitt he is stuck with limited assets to make the team better and aging superstars. They are a sinking ship. Honestly, why in gods green earth did he take that job? The division is going to be amazing in a year or two and Pitt will be battling the caps for 2nd to last place. He makes Hexy look good.
Dubas is a big believer in data/analytics. If he gets that part right it could give the Pens a boost in an age or parity. He could build the Pens into a contender after the aging core is gone if he has time and space in a management sense.

People take the media talk too seriously. He wanted to stay in Toronto and wanted big dollars . What did you expect him to say? He was kicking tires around the league?
