It kind of looks that way hahaha....Ive obviously watched Geno a lot more than JT but I do find Geno sticks out bad defensively at least once or twice a lot of games the past 3 or 4 seasons. - MattStrat
Geno is worse defensively but better offensively |

I’m just glad he instantly got poop on by 3 of us - Feds91Stammer
He's a complete clown. I can appreciate the odd political "insult" or joke, if they're funny and relevant to a topic, but... his aren't and they just don't make any sense.

yeah thats a good call about not noticing him in a game hahaha...but to me that usually indicates someone not bad defensively, as being noticed badly defensively usually sticks out.... though I tend to think thats more so for defenders in general haha - MattStrat
He always scores a random goal though and then you’re like poop I forgot about him |

I am genuinely curious to why he makes those comparisons though. Like.. what is the goal? Does he think people really give a poop? Does he do it in real life? - j.boyd919
I thought it was a bit, but he also claims to be a super old dude that went to the Pens’ first ever game, so it might seriously be an old man ranting on the internet. |

I just dont see how Dubas could have not paid him that. Its about market rate at the time. Malkin signed a few years prior at 9.5. But Tavares expires at an earlier age so there's that.
Also with Marner, Matthews, Tavares and Nylander I dont see how you dont sign them and let them walk or potentially lose a trade. At this point TOR will need to trade someone to get better at D and G. |

Tavares signed in 2018, Malkin signed in 2013. 5 years is a big difference in the salary cap world. |

I dont think there's a single GM in the league given all the circumstances (big fish UFA, superstar C, hometown boy, etc) that wouldn't of done that deal haha |

Soooo at some point soon I'm going to either be championing Dubas or calling him a stupid little dweeb. Could go either way! |

Dubas will make an excellent Pres of Ops. He did a lot of stuff for MLSE to make it attractive to players/agents and look pretty good.
He brought in team psychologists, sleep doctors, focused on sports science. I bet some teams already had psychologists but Dubas would take it another level. |

I had strongly talked myself into Dubas as GM but I always preferred him as PHO. I’m amped and am expecting a strong hire at GM. An FO for now and an FO for the future! |

Thought about how much this would please Vic when I first saw it haha...you've been very vocal about preferring him at PHO over GM.....but who's going to be GM...will they (FSG) leave that up to him?

Let's hope he does more with the title than the last one. Nobody knows what Burkie did. Even team employees weren't sure. |
