Praying to everything holy that we end up with Mike Sullivan and not Hynes or Lavi
- NYR11

I think that's the general consensus, though not all are sold on Sullivan as the answer. But he sure strikes me as a much better option than Laviolette and Hynes. Plus he knows how MSG operates after having been in the organization, which can only help

You hit the nail on the head. The best of the bunch, by leaps and bounds IMO.

All I know is he won cups but with some all world players. No idea what his coaching style is like or how much had to do with crosby, malkin, letang, MAF

Are Sullivan and Drury friends, that's the 3 million dollar question.

Not as if the Rangers are lacking on top end players. That said, am I sold on Sulllivan, no, there was a reason he wasn't hired initially. But I think he can be a solid coach in NY based on talent here and willingness to play kids when warranted. Pitt lacked high end youth in my opinion.

Whoever posted Dubas and Spezza to Pitt earlier this week, good on ya. Sounds like Dubas is hiring Spezza as GM.

Based on what I'm hearing the most likely Pens front office structure will be:

President: Kyle Dubas
General Manager: Ray Shero
Assistant GMs: Dan Bylsma, Craig Adams, Tanner Glass

I mean if that's how some feel about the team, not sure there's a reason to watch anymore.

This coaching decision will have long term implications for this team and many of the players and their futures.

To be fair, I feel that way. But 1.) I watch out of spite because I'm a crazy person. 2.) I also blame the organization more so than individual. I can't stop because I'm in to deep. 1 Winner changes everything for me.

I get that to a point. But there is no way the Rangers drafted two consensus 1+2 picks and won't get something out of it.

I know it is in our blood to be pessimistic bumholes, but we need to try and see some positive here. That is unless Hynes is hired. I will be (frank)ing done.
