I'm still waiting to know if we overtook the Canes in the standings.

A penalty for an unsuccessful challenges remains the dumbest rule in hockey. How bout just a faceoff in your zone? A penalty for asking to review an objectively questionable call? There’s something wrong with asking for a review? You only get 1 challenge.. so the risk is using it sooner than later.. in the event an even more objectionable play occurs.

It is pretty ridiculous

It should only be a penalty in extreme cases where it was clear there was no offsides and they use it to get the extra time and use it as a time out but that is such a rare occurrence so wouldn't make sense

Especially since it should be the case where they view a replay 3-5 times and if it isn't clear then stick to what was called on the ice as it takes an hour to review these days because the puck was .00001 millimeters past the line so have to be sure

Can't wait for us to trade for Hellebuyck then have him get injured in the first game he plays and require career ending hip surgery.

That’s too complicated. NJ would trade for him and then he would just play like poop.

No. I would not trade a borderline elite 24 year old winger for a 30 year old goalie 1 year away from needing a massive 8M+ AAV long term extension that runs into his late 30s. Hellebuyck should be a target. But not with Bratt going the other way.

Assuming we resign Bratt. His agent probably wants him traded to some team with a ton of cap space and overpayment of a contract waiting. Wants that payday.

Seems like something will get done. I think it's more likely Bratt gets done than Timo right at this moment. I still think both get done, but Fitz made it pretty clear that Bratt should be easier and the rumblings out there are that it'll be the first one done between the two.

Didn’t realize a 70 point player that disappears all the time is considered borderline elite
