Still makes no sense, unless they want to scapegoat him into next season.

The priority is a new GM.

They have a coach in place that knows the team.

They have no GM.

The priority is the empty position.

The Panthers are second last in expected goals against and third in actual goals against in the playoffs.

I mean when you look at the Boston series, Florida was actually the better team 3 of the 7 games. In the Toronto series Florida was the better team 1 of the 5 games. Against the Hurricanes, Florida was not the better team in any game, but you could argue that game 3's 1-0 final was pretty close to the way the game should have gone since it was ridiculously even and pretty low event.

Tkachuk has 4 game winning goals and Verhaeghe has 3, but seriously none of those gwg's happen if Bob is playing like this.

(frank).

And now because the Leafs are (frank)ing around about a GM, they lose out on a coach.

Brunette to coach Nashville.

Be prepared to see Nashville be a top 5 team next year. They aren't trading Saros. So people should stop thinking he's a potential now.

And then the GM comes in and wants his own coach. Now there's a new empty position.

None of this sounds good, especially the names being thrown out there.

The point is you don’t rush your priority because of the coach.

If the coach was the thing they wanted changed they would have done that.

And that's likely the way it was going, until Shanahan threw a temper tantrum.

If not winning is great, then (frank) yeah - he's a superstar of the participation ribbon generation!

Honestly, Dubas was a solid GM. He helped cultivate MLSE into a much better organization. Pre-Shanahan/Dubas MLSE was laughed at and looked down upon, even making all the money they did.

Dubas has turned MLSE into a place for agents to highly recommend/players to want to come play for. They have done a good job of taking care of personnel and it's showing. Sure behind the scenes seem to be a mess with Shanny and Dubas but they did a good job of not having poop leaked or showing how bad it was/might have been. That's pretty hard to do in this age of technology and social media.

He gets credit where it's due. It sucks the team hasn't had better performances in the playoffs but you also can't discredit the regular season. You need a solid performance there to make the playoffs. Record setting won't matter in 5+ years but honestly, it's a lot more fun seeing the team get a 100 points consistently then toil away praying for a playoff spot every year.

Good thing wonder boy got us Dermott and Bracco instead.

Burke traded the picks that drafted Rickard Rakell and John Gibson for Tyler Biggs and apparently he did a way better job than Dubas so 🤷
