Right, wrong or whatever, this is how I view Lavy, which is a much higher respect to John Tortorella. Laviolette gets hired by teams who think they can win now. The Philadelphia Flyers just traded for Chris Pronger and signed Ray Emery in the summer of 2009 thinking they were ready to “win now” but once they had a slow start the Flyers looked to Lavy’s experience. The Capitals win a Stanley Cup but lose Barry Trotz and are still in “win now” mode, so they sign a coach who can help. Obviously Nashville was in “win now” mode when they hired Peter Laviolette. This sounds like a compliment to Lavy to me. New York clearly thinks they can win now if you’re making trades for Tarasenko and Kane at the trade deadline…but hey, who am I? I’m just a guy missing the point.

As usual you have the weirdest stance of anyone on here ever. Congrats on that. I usually ignore and dismiss what you say because it's usually non sensical jibber jabber. Oh, and I'm not here to teach anyone anything. I'm here to discuss hockey like everyone else. I made two simple comments about two subjects and you turned it into some confusing maze as usual. Facts! Coaches are recycled in the NHL at an alarming rate and you are going to get your bang for your buck in Lavy's first couple years if you hire him! These are both true statements. I have no idea where you took the conversation. Thanks! Oh, and the Golden Knights in six! Thanks again!

Yeah, LA and OTT look like potential partners. Add them to Toronto, Edmonton and maybe Montreal... Hart's still particularly overrated in Canada from his junior days.

Hopefully if enough teams join in they can eke out a nice return.

Edmonton and the Flyers don't seem to be a match to me. I am sure they would like to get Hart. Just not sure what they would send in return that would entice the Flyers to deal him. They do not have a 2023 first.

I think LA and OTT make the most sense. Ottawa might be short the require picks though.

Hopefully it is an entertaining summer full of acquiring assets.

We were discussing hockey and you really can’t teach anyone anything when you derail your own point and conversation with another separate topic. We were talking about Peter Laviolette. You had nothing else to say, so you changed course to the Stanley Cup Final.

The preds have hired brunette as their new coach! That's a solid hire for that franchise!
