Bennett also getting nothing for what he did to Knies is also laughable.

Parros even just stepped in and lowered the suspension of a kid going to the Memorial Cup. What does he even think he's doing? Holy (frank).

Surprise surprise, kids a Habs prospect.

No favours coming from Goon Parros or his POS drunk boss Colin Campbell. He's a pure piece of poop, makes it easy to understand why he likes the Panthers. Here's why he hates the Leafs

Remember when MacKinnnon and Pasternak entered the final years of their deals without much noise? And then re-signed when the parties got to the right number?

And all the other players?

I know I know ...the noise in Toronto makes it different here.

Having Dreger the Muppet in the media touting all that garbage sure as poop didn't help, that's for sure.

I do not think anyone is arguing moving JT would help. But good luck getting him to waive and a team to take him
- jribout

It's possible if they negotiated it accordingly.

The responsibility for the President and the GM is to do what is best for the team.

5 years ago, it was to sign Tavares.

Today, it's to trade him.

Proves time and again that he can't, even once, be good at his job.

It's literally embarrassing for the NHL to continue to employ him.

so you buy him out.

poooffff

Tavares' contract is buyout proof. Leafs would save like $303K per season for 2 seasons. Its a non-starter. Check Cap Friendly!

Try to sign Mitchell Miller and get nominated for a (frank)ing award for it.

Imagine.

NHL just can't help itself.

Keep a handkerchief handy for your tears because JT isn’t going anywhere. He’ll play out this contract and likely resign with the leafs for 3-4 more years at around $5-6 million.
- Dozzer

JT has made a poopload of $ here. The Leafs will not pay him that much to re-up here imo.

Look at Malkin in Pittsburgh, resigned for $6.1 million. He’ll be just under him for the contract in his mid thirties hence why I’m guessing around $5 million. The cap space will jump in 2 years as well. He won’t be signing super cheap til his late 30s (like around Gio’s current age)

He may get it. It just won't be here on that type of ticket imo.

I think a lot of leaf fans need to grasp the guy is gonna be playing out his career here and I’ll be sincerely surprised if it doesn’t happen.

He’s still a PPG player on the backend of his big contract as well. He’ll still be pretty damn close to that in 2 years, he’ll get another decent contract, just not for more than 3-4 years.

If it's here it won't be for 5-6M.

Yeah, no!

Although he was very good at trades. Bring him in just for the initial trades, then bye-bye.

No we'll sit back and watch the aging vets on the Bruins win another President's Trophy then get poop on in the first round.

Bennett just hit Slavin in the head.

Can't wait to see him get nothing for it.

Bennett did it again - this time Slavin… everything was down, but it did look like head contact and maybe a charge

They were saying on Overdrive, funny how Pittsburgh losing to Chicago in the last game of the season may be the difference between Zito being fired or winning GM of the year and the Cup. Also put Bedard in Chicago, and might have lead indirectly to Dubas replacing Hextall and Burke. Crazy what one game changed.

You need grit and the man finds grit like no others. Imagine a first line of Mathews Gallagher and Andrew Shaw brought out of retirement.
