Are you day drinking again?

The kid is 21 years old. Have you ever heard of any player in the history of the NHL having a sophomore slump? You are telling me that no player hasn't been as good in his second year and they all project upwards.

I read about two pages back no need to rush players and here we are calling a 21 year old a bust.

Podz has taken an odd path to the NHL but looking at some AHL 20/21 year old players over the years around his PPG. A good list and very mixed bag. Noticeable is a lot of those better players developed much later.

I have a feeling Podz is going to learn a lot from Tochett. I think he will teach him to finish the big hits. He should learn how to fight but again a kid 21 or 22 is going to get his ass kicked a few times playing that style. I am fine that he will have a better year this year and keep on improving.

No reason to rush anyone anymore. I am looking forward to D Petey , I think he has an Edler style and more than five letters in his last name.

It's an Adam Fox type of offence though. You could ASP and D-Petey as a future 2nd pair. You have to hope that Hughes and Hronek turn themselves into Makar and Toews type of pair then.

I have wondered whether you could Simashev and Hronek into a Pelech-Pulock type pairing.

He isn’t a bust. He is exactly the player I predicted in his draft year. Stupid, slow and weak. Keep going in circles trying to defend him though as it’s entertaining. He may yet turn out to be a serviceable 4th liner if he grows some balls but what a waste of a 10th overall pick

Well putting him straight into the NHL & having TG as a coach who didn’t grow or teach anyone.
