I would be quite surprised if he made the big club this year.

in front of him and Nick Seeler played pretty well. Since he doesn't need waivers either. The thing about draft europeans/college vs CHL is that extra 2 years before you need to sign them.

Woo needing waivers next season hurts. He should pass through waivers but as usual it would suck to lose a guy you spent years developing for free.

You’re assuming everything stays the same there, Philly, I very much doubt that’s the case. We shall see.

Probably why it's not a good idea to keep trading draft picks and keep the pipeline full.
- VanHockeyGuy

I wish they didn't as well. I also know that it's going to happen, just wish the Canucks were much better at if assets are going out, they are coming back at least a little bit. Canucks are not very good sellers.

Honestly what is he going to do? Stuck with a lot of contracts unless he is going to take less value.

Briere, Conroy, Trotz, Treliving, Dubas all in charge in new places a month ahead of #NHL Draft & Free Agency. New guys usually like to make a splash. Let's hope some of these guys bring flamethrowers into the mix this month. Introduce some chaos into the proceedings

Too bad the Canucks don't have a lot other teams covet. Would have been much easier if they had chosen a different direction than they did.

Corey Pronman's latest mock draft is something of a fairy tale on acid.

Woo has to come to camp and beat out Burroughs. He needs to show some toughness and willingness to fight. His skill level is on par with Kyle's.

Buy out OEL.

Tocchet spoke about getting involved with him and wanting more. If they plan on copying the Florida model. He is our Sam Reinhart, soft, slow, makes 6.5 per season.

Maybe if you’re a top 20 first round pick, but not if you’re a second rounder or beyond. I mean, he’s entering his D+6 season so he needs to push for a roster spot or I think his time may be up.

Funny, Romanov was picked right behind him and he’s already become a good serviceable defenceman, reminds me of all the misses the Canucks have had and the very next player taken turns into a good player.

Go back to 1979 the Canucks picked G-Ken Ellacott 47th OA and Mark Messier was the next pick for the Oilers. Same draft the Canucks took F-Art Rutland 68th OA and the Oilers picked Glen Anderson with the next pick. 1985 the Canucks took G-Troy Gamble 25th OA, two picks later the Flames took Joe Nieuwendyk. 1986 the Canucks took F-Dan Woodley 7th OA, two picks later the NYR took Brian Leetch. 1990 the Canucks take F-Shawn Antoski 18th OA and Keith Tkachuk and Martin Brodeur go next two. 1997 Brad Ference taken at tenth OA, Marian Hossa two picks later. 2007 Patrick White, next pick is David Perron. 2016 Juolevi next pick Tkachuk. 2019 Podkolzin two picks later Matt Boldy……the futility just keeps giving!!

Flames don't need to be good at drafting when you just take Canucks Sloppy Seconds

touché…..my buddy Blair Atcheynum and I always used to bust each other’s balls, Hartford took him and then the Red Wings took Nick Lidstrom next.
- LeftCoaster

He killed that franchise. Had they picked Lidstrom they would still be there.

Ya I liked him as a number 7 but the org has no interest in bringing him back. Not sure why. Presumably, they believe they can upgrade in the summer
