Wonderful to see what Panthers has done in a midget hockeymarket! With all those ex-flyers! |

After last night I think Bob has taken the lead. - MBFlyerfan
Bobrovsky's save total is the most ever within the first three games of a conference final or Stanley Cup semifinal, breaking the mark of 125 set by Johnny Bower for the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1960. He stopped 132 of 135 shots through the three games. |

Looks like Tulsky is the clubhouse leader to get the Pens job. If so, congrats to him and the Pens. Still wish the Flyers had hired him. |

Not sure how that can be. The Canes are still playing.

One name the team appears to be zeroing in on is Carolina Hurricanes assistant general manager Eric Tulsky, who Rossi says has impressed the members of Pittsburgh’s ownership, Fenway Sports Group. He’s certainly the most progressive hire available for Pittsburgh, as he’s one of the most reliant on analytics among managers in high-ranking roles. |

Florida is finding a way to get the goals, all low scoring tight checking games. How many break aways or semi break aways did Carolina have last night, somebody has to find the back of the net |

Who was it that gave me such a hard time for even suggesting the very thought of Florida rallying around Bob once they replaced Alex Lyon? “There was no rally!” “You hate Alex Lyon!” Are you kidding me! How I feel about Lyon was never apart of my opinion. Boston should have beat Florida and the turning point was Bob, who very well might win the Conn Smyth. It’s him or Tkachuk. My vote goes to Tkachuk but Bob is very deserving. - SuperSchennBros
We disagree. Now has nothing to do with then. There is such a thing as context. Bob being terrific right now does not make you right about games 3 and 4 of the Boston series. He was rusty. That series could have went the other way very easily, but the Panthers out scored them. As I said then, the goalie changed made sense, but did not heavily affect the outcome.
This series is different and Bob has been lights out. Against such a defensive team like Carolina, they aren’t going to score as many goals (and haven’t). The Canes goalies are playing very well too. Anderson had a .948 SV% and 1.22 GAA. Bob has been otherworldly in this series, and he was very good against Toronto too.

I'm guessing the Canes would have Waddell relinquish the GM role and give it to Tulsky before they allow him to leave.

Not all AGMs are Brent Flahr who are content being passed over for promotion for the flavor of the week. Some do aspire to get promoted.
Then again Flahr is on noone's short list. |

great goal tending for sure but teams that got deep in the playoffs need to score those timely, hard goals, manufacture them. Panthers have the IT right now. I feel for Carolina with their inquiries, it will be an interesting off-season if they lose, while I think all agree they are a real good young team, they have not taken the next step, hope they have the patience to wait for their time.

Every team has injuries, not an excuse . Totally agree on the scoring. Carolina goalies numbers are incredible too |

clearly the canes have given their permission Cliff as he has interviewed with them

Against any other team those goalie numbers would be enough to win.

Svechnikov would have probably been really helpful in this type of series. Pacioretty also. Injuries happen though. Not sure they have built enough team scoring yet.

So they have interest in him. I doubt that Tulsky is involved in an interview process for a new job with another team while the team he currently works for, is still playing. |

According to Pierre LeBrun of TSN and the Athletic, the Penguins have wrapped their first round of interviews and were talking with 10-12 people.
Among those interviewed were Marc Bergevin, Eric Tulsky, Jason Karmanos, and Peter Chiarelli.

What major injuries has Florida had to this point? Carolina has had major injuries to 3 top forwards. |

The Canes have scored a lot of timely goals in the first two rounds to get deep... now they've just run into a brick wall. Has happened to many good teams in the past and part of why the playoffs are so unpredictable.
.978 SV% is just sick. Goaltending can be totally OP. |

well you would be incorrect. Happens all the time in sports.

well then why let him interview with the pens then? yes it is common courtesy, however They could have easily said no and told boy wonder he will be the GM when the season is over.
Or maybe they let him go and promote someone from Tulksy team to take over his role.

shouldn't be if you pay attention as happens all the time
