It will be very hard to believe a defenseman picked at 7 by the Flyers was BPA after Jonesy's speech about how the team needs to build from the back. A team that scored the fourth fewest goals in the entire league. |

Looks like Reinbacher and Sandin-Pellikka would be the 2 most likely Dmen drafted in the top 10. Flyers have drafted Ginning snd Andrae from Sweden recently. Fair to assume, Flehr trusts the scouts scouting Sweden. |

Andrae looks like a heck of a draft pick. He's going to be in the NHL very soon.
I hate to say players have comparable but if he does end up anything like Kimmo then that is a hell of a pick |

Reinbacher and Pellikka are starting to jump into top-10s (McKenzie, Button, Pronman, Daily Faceoff, etc) so taking D wouldn't be completely sus.
I guess we would never know, unless the team made the mistake of self-leaking their draft board again.
As long as they aren't passing on Michkov or something I wouldn't freak out. |

Does anyone else picture this guy when the Flyers talk about being smart?
 - Dkos
This is the guy that would pick "Geordi" Benn over Jamie Benn.

Was going to say briere and Carter but I don’t really view Danny as a volume shooter. He is was a goal scorer for sure but idk, just doesn’t register as a shooter for me. |

Question for the mass. Seravelli stating Columbus feels they can get back into the playoffs next year with moves. 22nd in play for top 4 defender. Also heard they might want to move Roslovic. Would you build something around Provorov, Hayes(money retained) and see if you can get 22nd in some sort of package? Would it make sense for the Flyers if they could get Roslovic in it to? He is only 26 with one more year at 4 mil. You could always flip him at deadline then.
Thoughts? |

I don't have any interest in Roslovic. If the Flyers would be taking Roslovic as a cap dump and retaining salary with Hayes and giving them Provorov. I would think the Flyers would need more back than just the 22nd pick. |

Assuming Torts is going to have influence in roster building, I highly they're going to trade one doghouse player (Hayes) for another who was in his doghouse a lot in Columbus. |

Would Pitt be interested in Hayes for Rutta and Granlund? Obviously more term on Hayes but the money works, we get a couple bodies back. Pitt center depth is bad after Geno and Sid |

Yeah but if he plays well enough you can unload him at the deadline for more draft capital if you don't think he is part of the long term plan. |

I just think the Flyers need to get a max return on Provy. Putting him in a deal with Hayes minimizes that return. |

I'm not falling for it again.
I remember feeling optimistic about Hexy when he first got here from LA, hoping he'd push the franchise into the 21st century, but it was just more of the same unfortunate go-with-the-gut type of decision making. Then Fletch came in with his Harvard Law degree and all the talk of expanding the department... and ended up making even bigger avoidable mistakes like RR and Hayes.
Camillo will call Danny B "analytical" all she wants, but I'm not buying any of it. It certainly doesn't smell like some new analytical dawn, especially with Torts firmly entrenched and looming over everything. What Jonesy thinks about any of it is probably gonna be irrelevant anyway. - Tomahawk
Not law. I dunno what he studied but it was not a grad degree.
With how well connected his dad was, and given that the Boston Cambridge area is full of this WASPy legacy types, I have a pretty good idea how he got in.

I think the best either of them can hope for is some sort of scouting position. At least for the near future.

The only way feltcher gets an NHL job is if a team needs a locker room jock strap sniffer or a janitor. Anything else will end in failure |

I want two assets for Provy. A first round pick and something else. |

TK to the blues for their last 2 1st rd picks + prospect+ cap dump
Maybe expand it to include Ivan.
Hayes with 50% may be of some interest to Colorado.
Again the flyers have several players with real value. Will believe it when I see it that they will move said players.

How connected was his dad in 1986? He was like 5 years into his first NHL GM job with the Atlanta Flames. Not exactly a high profile job at the time. Chuck was a horrible GM. Doesn’t mean he wasn’t a bright kid who got into Harvard on merit. |
