Some info trickling out
Maybe some meddling from above Shanny.
Not that they can't do what they want.. But that doesn't work out very often.

Going to be a poop show summer. At the worst possible time. Team needs stability not a poop show. So many important decisions coming.

Friedman saying Dubas asked for a streamlined decision making process (more autonomy) and that’s what killed it for the Board. Also, Pit was about to hire their new GM when Dubas was fired and held off so they could make pitch to him.

Bobrovsky makes 10 mil. There's big tickets in the final four.
- Zezel

Barkov new deal is at $10 mil, I think it kicked in start of this season
Tkachuk 9.5 mil

There's a big difference between a GM who needs a stamp of approval and a GM who's micromanaged. Not every GM in the league has a number of their moves outright closed down.

And you and I will never know the exact specifics, so pretending we do, is moot.

Not a poop show, those decisions will be made without Dubas. Big change, yes poop show?

That's true, but also where there's smoke there's fire. It's the reason we all believe Shanahans senate testimony.

That 10 million is what has Florida where they are.

It would seem Dubas did a solid job of keeping an even keel and keeping the image of MLSE pretty intact outwardly. Dreger and a few others are loving this. They may actually get insight again.

Might as well relax.....I'm pretty sure that we're a couple of weeks out for seeing a new GM. I'm also sure that there are player consultations and trade talks happening behind the scene. Let's just enjoy what's left of the playoffs and then start the conversation again later.

Florida is lights out right now! Bob is killing it and Carolina has as many answers as the Leafs and Bruins. They've yet to score more than 2 goals against Florida either. You have to admire their play, tough, relentless and passionate. The Florida fans don't deserve a team like this, since they don't really support the team at the box office. Looking at the West, I don't see either of those teams having a prayer against the Panthers, if they stay healthy.

Usually most of your posts seem level headed and knowledgeable.
And then you come out with the “they don’t deserve that team” bullpoop.

Dude, there’s people here that have been pulling for this team since 1993, there are kids born after then that are Panthers fans since they can remember. They may have stopped buying tix as they repeatedly had it shoved in their faces that the owners didn’t give a poop about their hockey team. The stories of the dysfunctional Panthers organIzation are everywhere. People still loved hockey, they just resented Panthers ownership and refused to spend their money supporting them (the owners)
The story has been changing since new ownership. See the buzz when Jagr arrived.
Owners almost ruined it all with Gallant firing and then the expansion draft as many turned away again. But they’ve now brought most of those people back. See the buzz when Q was hired. Now Matty is a star here, and doesn’t shy away from the spotlight.
Stay tuned, and when you visit next season, be sure to check out their new practice facility and entertainment venue in Fort Lauderdale. Bring you skates, have some fun. Maybe there’ll be a good band playing there in the concert hall that evening.

To reiterate, if you're so convinced Kyle was hard done by, follow him to Pitt or Ott.

Why I say this, is their ticket pricing. Their prices are at about the same level as an AHL or the CHL teams, in Canada. When they tried to block Leafs fans from buying tickets for the 2nd round, that reeked of the low brow Ottawa Senators team from blocking Toronto fans from buying tickets when the Leafs played in Ottawa. After they did this, they still didn't sell out and ended up selling the rest of the tickets to the Leafs fans. The Panthers have also been dipping into the NHL revenue sharing pool. The fans in the major markets have been keeping this team solvent for quite a while now. Hopefully, people in Florida get on board with this team, if they don't they don't deserve this team. They are very good and I did predict that they would beat Boston in the first round. I said in 6, not 7.
