as long as we have a healthy shesterkin we will, i just don't have hope in the other players to step up their game and actually look like they care. hopefully a new coach can change that since that's really all we can do
- Mtlca66

I think they looked like they cared all year and then something changed after they went up 2-0 on the Devils

That seems way to intense for a kid. But i love it. "Time like hope is an illusion" was really good.

That movie is a little on the edge but it's mostly OK.

We saw it in the theater last month and then I bought it for her on google play. She's watched it like 4 times. Lumalee is her favorite character which does concern me a little.

The core is getting old, it’s the next 2 seasons or never I feel. Why this coaching hire and off-season is huge for Drury

In all seriousness. If he had direct knowledge of the situation it's egregious and he should be perma-banned. I did read that he did not know specifics on what happened and just wanted to focus on the playoff run. Still bad but believable somewhat, though not sure I believe it.

While the onus is on him to do something, I lump him in with the players more than the management group that failed so hard with this. Though I will say that him writing a letter of recommendation is pretty damning. But maybe it is because he actually did not know the details of what had transpired. I don't see how he promotes this guy if he had any knowledge of what happened.

We are never going to know what happened. But the best thing would be for the Rangers to avoid this coach. I think if they did hire him there would be incredible backlash where they are forced to cut ties before he even coaches a game.

I still can't believe Zibanejad was so poor in that Devils series

Not so sure I would call him poor, but he certainly didn't do much on the offensive side.

He knew it happened. No actions was taken. Lawful, internal, nothing. You deserve to get fired and banned for just that.

He then recommend the person who committed that crime to job coaching high school kids where the recommend person did the exact same thing. Now that person has a pleaded guilty to sexual assault of minor and is register sex offender.

The answer should always be no. Go be a farmer, go drive trucks, go work at Starbucks.

I agree with you, but the bolded part we don't know with 100% certainty. I'm not trying to just be a Richard. Just trying to offer an impartial view while trying not to involve emotion given the disgusting actions of the video coach. Hopefully he ends up in a jail with inmates that will treat him to something similar.

He didn't get going until later in the Pens series also. The reality is the Rangers do not have many good 5v5 play drivers. When your best one is Chytl, your 3C thats a pretty big problem to have.

welp, if you believing the 5 on 5 problem was coaching, then hopefully the new guy comes in ready to make the team stronger in that area

I think its both. More on the players tbh, but if they can get a coach who runs the right system for these types of players it can improve I think

I do think that when their "tools" were failing them that a coach with some tactical awareness and ability to adjust could help them see things that they might not be realizing.

That's really the whole thing for me. They have had two coaches in a row with no real system. They need something else.

oh look Kravtsov signed two year deal in KHL, can I get back all that time I read posts that Drury didnt get enough for him?
- jimbro83

F Drury, he should’ve traded him sooner. He held onto him and destroyed his value.

I do think they were trying to trade him for a long time and found no takers

it was a terrible draft pick, that was the mistake

Doesn’t matter what coach we have, we don’t have the right players for playoff hockey. Panarin will never be willing to change his style of play for playoff hockey, we have a 3rd line that isn’t nearly physical enough and our 4th line could use improvement as well. Let’s see how they fill the top 6 RW spots.

Agree on Panarin. I think they have to roll Laf/Kakko in the top 6 puely to see what they can be and they don't have the cap space to add any one really. Changes the dynamic of the 3rd line as well with new players being needed
