yeah it gets kinda random, players must have a hard time gaging what the threshold is.

the refereeing will never be perfect, and we have to accept the human error aspect that comes with it, but it's frustrating to see there's a (frank) ton of improvement needed and the league acts as though there aren't any issues whatsoever.

there is always going to be things they are missing cause that is going to happen with the speed of the game. its the blatant refusal to call something right in front of them that changes the whole nature and balance of the game.

you probably don't really know him but you should hear Stéphane Auger every time he comments on the referee's job during the games on TVA. he used to be an NHL referee himself and had one of the worst reputations in the league, and every (frank)ing call made by the officials are the right ones, he's simply unable to bring an objective criticism.
