It's gonna be a very hard pick to make...I'd be happy with Michkov, Leonard, Smith or Benson...maybe Reinbacher? Seriously don't know.

Don't know if Habs management are feeling like gambling on Michkov though.

apparently he'll be at the draft, perhaps things won't be as complicated as everyone thought they would.

They will know by the June 28, the way I see it Habs will draft Carlsson or Smith if they slip and Michkov is left, yeah, big decision but he will be the best player available.

yeah, his agent said he intends to attend the draft in Nashville, maybe he can disappear right after the draft and reappear at training camp in MTL?

No doubt they'll do their homework before picking him.

NHL honours KHL contracts and vice versa, so regardless he will not be in the NHL unless his contract is terminated in some way.

for sure. you don't want to draft him if it's too risky but you can't ignore that kind of talent either.

Bobrov used to work for SKA, the team Michkov is signed with, Habs can get all the info they need on the various scenarios possible

Yup, no doubt. Some people fear that he might get drafted in the army afterwards or sign another contract in the KHL but I feel like it's probably just scare tactic by journalists trying to find something to talk about.

Or drafted, and to get out, has to sign an extension to stay in the KHL.

2026 is OK for his arrival. Even if they draft Smith or Benson, you won't see them until 2025 most likely

I wonder if there is a way for Michkov to break his contract with SKA, Habs would have to pay SKA obviously
