My wish list is simple.
Connor Bedard with the the first pick:
No matter what happens in terms of traders, I want:
Samuel Honzek big winger, needs a little quicker first step otherwise, cooking.
Otto Stenberg and scoring / offensive generator with big time jump and finishing power.
I don't know how we squeeze these three first rounders out two picks.
BUT I am fairly certain Nate Danielson,Ryan Leonard,Gabriel Perreault, Matthew Wood and RD Axel Sandin Pelikkaare off the board by #19
If they are gone I hope my some luck, super pinpoint shpoter/passer Eduard Sale, super skater Oliver Moore, Jesse Kiiskinen, and the still developing Callum Ritchie,
The #35 is where I lock in on Kasper Halttunen if I am fairly certain he lasts,
same goes for big C David Edstrom, but it would be now or gone....iF EITHER is there.
...and see Charlie Stramel as a perfect fit at #44, with the hunt for a goalie and more fire power - wiz1901
Would love for Edstrom to fall to #35 but not bloody likely |

One thing that also stood out to me listening to the Mike Doneghey interviews this week;
Norm MacIver has a massive voice in the future of this franchise hockey wise. - vabeachbear
Not a bad thing says me.

Nope, he had a big say on how Seattle was constructed. Remember all the “angst” of who the Hawks would lose in the expansion draft? MacIver was so impressed,Seattle drafted Quenville only because they had to pick one.

Seattle Tbirds win the WHL with a win over Winnipeg 3-1. Allan with one assist.
On to the Memorial Cup. |

I did a mock draft for the first 2 rounds and ended up with:
Bedard
Leonard
Halttunen
Honzek
Rehkopf

If that would happen would be a great draft and set the future up for very long time, if they pan out. More picks better chance on players coming through. I think Leonard is gone by 19th, unless a trade to move up happens. Like to see hawks get a goalie in this draft somewhere in the first 3 rounds. |

Be nice to have a draft like the Stars did, Heiskanen, Oettinger and Robertson

Well, then move up in the late first and take him, or if you cannot take him at #19.
He he is your guy, you go get him when you have the chance.
Just this last hour as I was yet again re-arranging my board, I was thinking seriously of moving hum into my first and dropping maybe Nadeau based on Nadeau's restrictions as a bottom six forward if he doesn't hold and top six status. |

There are so many good options that could possibly be available at #19 - Yager, Halttunen, Moore or Honzek. But I wouldn’t be surprised to see KD take a chance on a prospect that may need a little more development, like Rinzel. I’d rather KD do that with #35 or a 3rd first round pick (if acquired). |

It's going to take a bit for all this to come together, but have to admit looking forward to see how the draft goes, i bet they have some possible deals in place already with salary and what not. |

I’d take him for the right price. Maybe Turcotte? |

I would have Stramel in there at 44 or the first one in the 50's. |

Sure and this way he can't score against the Hawks for a season. Give them a future 3rd for him |

Doubt if LA considers Arvidsson a cap dump and would package Turcotte with him to move him. They'll be looking for an asset in return for him, likely a pick or prospect to net themselves some cap space. Can't see the Hawks trading for him. |

They may not look at him as one but reality says different if they want to re-sign Gavrikov or find a goalie better than the two under contract for next season.
They have 2 RFA with arb rights who I don't think they want to walk away from just yet.
They have enough cap space to fill out a roster but that leaves them running Petersen and Copley in the net. |

Is Quenneville coming back? I read he will meet with Bettman after the conclusion of the cup finals. Maybe the Rangers? |

Blake had an interview where he said he realizes he is going to lose some RFA’s. They might even go after Hellebuck, they really want to get rid of Peterson’s contract. |

I really like it when they bring guys like Cooper in the studio, the inside info he gives like the OT game Carolina and Florida played the other night |

What prospects or picks be included is anybodies guess. But hawks get a stop gap goalie to pair with mrazek abs give soderbloom more time to develop in Rockford and get a a player that could play in the top six.

Doubt anything to it due to not lining up in the timeline of the rebuild. Most likely Toronto social media conjuring this up because they pissed off at what happen in the playoffs again imo. |

That is going to cost them, no matter who they deal with, getting rid of a guy not good enough to play in the NHL making $5M for 2 more seasons.
