So when this was evident by like game 15-20, why was there no attempt to fix anything?

This isn't football where 1-2 wins/losses in either direction makes or breaks a season

How many guys with term were traded during the season ?

The Sabres weren’t in the rental market, as they shouldn’t have been.

They were in on guys that were traded.

They ultimately acquired a player with term at the deadline ironically enough

Wholeheartedly Doubt Buffalo would do that. Could see JJ getting used as a chip before Quinn.

Does feel like Mitts or JJ are expendable. Prefer one for a D though.

Agree, Quinn is the sniper. We have prospects that can do what JJ (Kulich) and Mitts (Savoie) can do.

Aren't Kulich and Rosen snipers too? Most of these guys look very similar.

Kulich can score, talking more about style, Kulich isn't afraid to go to the corner or work the hard areas. And Savoie has to prove it, but he's got tenacity and a good shot and great eyes and sees the ice well. When Mitts is on, he sees the ice very well, he has good hockey IQ, unfortunately he forgets that sometimes.

This should be an interesting one to listen to tomorrow.

What is his likely contract for 4 or 5 years?

Shouldn't be too bad with him only coming off his ELC.

Signing Anderson was directly linked to not blocking the net for levi IMO.

What clearer message can be sent , hey kid, old dude holding this spot, join us soon.... he old

- Boss34

This was not that at all.

Anderson is a veteran goalie, good guy to bring in the locker room, and he as basically a coach. He ram meetings and stuff like that.

Part time goalie and part time coach

JJ is a stud. Why would we move him?

Let’s give away good talent.

A top 4 d can be had But you don’t need to sell the farm for one

We missed by 1 point.

I’d trade every single pick we have in this draft to be where Florida is today.

And yes, it’s absolutely possible the Sabres could still be playing

JJ is selling the farm?

Moving a F for a D seems inevitable. No mention of giving anyone away.

Well sooner or later someone is gonna get moved, there's just to many for spots available. Losing JJ would suck, but Kulich definitely lessons the hurt.

Got a lot of 2 year fillers instead of a bold move. It's time for a couple bold moves.

The Sabres should be treating ending the drought like a team taking one last stab at a cup would be.

It would be utterly embarrassing if they miss again next year

Trying to think of a trade similar to hellebuyck. Ryan Miller is reasonably close. He was 33 and a rental to the Blues. Him and Ott got Halak, Chris Stewart, Will Carrier, 1st, 3rd.

Nothing premium there. So as a rental, does he get UPL, 2nd, Rousek? Peterka and UPL?

Cory Schneider was 27. He got the 9th overall.

Think hellebuyck gets something in between.

I agree. We have too much of a good thing.

How about we just have 4 scoring lines and no grit?

Well last one to be saying that to, been saying for awhile now Buffalo will have enough talent to roll 4 lines. Doesn't mean they still can't trade a few, they do have a lot.
