You’ll never forget it if you’re lucky enough to have one show itself while you’re out there. Most sightings are like , “I think I mighta saw a Panther, but I’m not positive, didn’t get a really good look”. The Florida Panthers hockey club helps with conservation efforts, beyond simply carrying the name.

My wife and I are incredibly fortunate and lucky to be in the group you outlined above.

Bought in 2015 at a near low point for under $200K at 3.5%.

Spent $8K on wise updates, such as updating insulation where there was minimal to none, which saved us 40% on our heating bill.

Refinanced in 2019 after our home's worth went up roughly $40K, to get rid of our PMI at 3%.

Renovated our kitchen, living and dining rooms later in 2019.

Refinanced again in spring of 2021 to a 15 year loan at 2%.

Our home value has gone up over $100K since we bought it, and we now have a 13 year loan at 2% for less than $180K.

Very, very lucky.

Sold the house in 12/2022 for $785k
Building new (much smaller house) and reduced price by $65k through incentives and negotiations since the market weakened for lower end homes (under $350 here)due to higher interest rates disqualifying many lower income, younger buyers...the medium house builder in a tiered conglomerate national builder was discounting to keep conglomerate volumes up.
We too were very lucky to be on the downsizing side of the equation.
