I was on that train for a while. Got off, don't like his projection and his injury history. I think his team floated him, not vice versa.

This is my obligatory, monthly "UPL is going to be good" response.

I think what is being said is despite the Leafs going out and adding some gritty players. They raised their overall team toughness, but Their core players still have none (or, not enough?) and were held to the outside for the most part.
Example I’ve seen cited by unhappy Leafers is, They would settle for a shot from distance instead of trying to get to the slot, or the front of the net. Idk, perhaps?

I think this narrative was a bit false. Yeah they'd select to shot from the point a fair bit but they'd have a guy there for the tip or to bang a rebound out front, they got a lot of damage done that way, they were also shut down a lot on these attempts. Bob was solid on the door step I thought. Got hot at the right time and held his team in for the win every game.

Also updated his LinkedIn to reflect how he’s been in charge of “pretty much everything in his life” and his education from 2005-2006. (Two years)

That's an HOA I would highly recommend not being a part of. Trust me.

Random thought added for some to consider when seeing the word “grit” used to describe a player or a play style.

Grit is more about determination and having a never quit attitude. Grit is tenacity, like a pit bull who has gotten a grip.

Grit is not about displaying knuckle dragging tendencies and/or skills. & Grit does not simply equal, “hits a lot”.

I highly doubt they get Helle for a one year rental and there is no way they are paying him 8 large for a multi year contract.

I see them more signing a player like varlamov, MAF or Andersen to a 2 year deal.

Commercial real estate and loans associated are in deep trouble.

Housing is in short supply and demand is still strong. New supply is low and there is no clear indicators that supply will meet or supersede demand.

The only reason the purchasing pace slowed is high interest rates, that’s not enough to collapse pricing.
