he made their team that much better when he came back
marchessault was huge last night but it will be another player for them for another game
people were talking about Vegas goalies a lot before it started but so far so good
not so much for the Oilers and Skinner. If I would be an Oilers fan, I would be very angry at the coach this morning. They decided to live and die with a rookie while they had a pretty good option sitting on the bench for them. - deadpoulet
They just need to be above average, keep them in games. Plus Vega has a fairly solid defensive corps.

Yeah but Skinner got pulled 3 times in that series (maybe more?).
Feel like giving Campbell a shot wouldn't have been the worst idea. Look at how Bob is doing despite being a non-factor during the season. - Scabeh
yep
Goalies get hot and cold.
If you have a vet like Price, I get live or die with him, but with a rookie like Skinner? really?
Even Price had to sit for Halak when Halak was on fire.
they had nothing to lose trying Campbell, the other guy was that bad

you have to forget about the regular season sometimes when you end up in the playoffs. Talk to this to the Bruins.
Skinner was awfull and ended up being pulled 3 times in the last series. But he is a rookie and thats on the coach.
Campbell was very good in the playoffs when he was called upon but the coach refused to give him a start. Again, thats on the coach. - deadpoulet

Theodore would be the first defenseman on many teams and they have pietrangelo on top of that
they are deep up front as well. |

and that was the problem, he should have been the starter at some point. They always kept coming back to Skinner who kept being awfull.
49 saves on 51 shots for Campbell. I rest my god damn case. |

Highly doubt Habs are following Button's list.

I know next to nothing about the draft but from what I read and looking at his list, if Smith is there when they speak, they would most lilkely go with him, no?
If anybody pick the russian kid that high, its because they know he will come to the NHL at some point. |

Oh for sure. If Smith is available, I'm convinced he's our guy.
Teams will do their homework with Michkov. If him and his agent can confirm or convince he's coming to the NHL in 2 years, he could go as early as third. |

Smith is all offense, plays center at the moment but many scouts think he could end up being a winger at the pro level because he is not good defensively. |

They need to clarify his contract situation, is it until 2026 for sure, can they get him earlier by paying SKA? There is also a roomer he might have a team option in his contract for 2 more years. All things MTL can figure out before the draft IMO. |

The story about his father is not looking good at all either. I cant find anything new online on that, other that he did not have any health problems and was trying to get his son into the NHL as soon as possible. Something about a phone call received before he disappeared as well? |

49 of 51 saves on shots outside of one game where Skinner was chased in the first were just showing up to stem a 4-0 deficit. Easy pickings. |

Craig Button's list for the draft:
https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/dr...oves-into-top-5-1.1960662
Always some surprises from that guy. - Scabeh
Mark Jankowski would be a top-5 player of his draft in 7 years...but he also got Jake Virtanen being terrible right...so we all hit/miss! |

The Draft, for the most part, is like playing Roulette.
Some bets are a lot better than others, and with a little luck you win enough to make losing not seem so bad.
Except the draft Roulette spins for about 3+ years before you can see if you are a winner.
We've seen sure bets die off quick and some who were said to be bad picks have decent and long (if unspectacular) NHL careers.

yeah, the problem is not waiting 2 years. the problem is he could sign another deal and we'd have to wait an extra 2-3 years . |

article intéressant et j'avais une réflexion similaire par rapport à ces deux clubs
les Oilers n'ont pas fait mieux que Toronto cette année et là bas aussi la coupe se fait attendre après des années de reconstruction |
