I’d be shocked if he doesn’t start at center. I’d like to see the Hawks get Toews in some coaching/mentoring capacity, assuming he retires. I’d guess they’ll pick up some vets to insulate him.

Yea i guess i should of mentioned that as well, no long term crazy deals i agree, 2 to 3 year term contracts. Get up to the Cap floor, cause now he'll have to build a team around Bedard and hopefully his max contract

From the day KD took over, he seemed to have a plan, and stuck to that plan. In doing so, you would have had to "game plan" for a bunch of different scenarios from the start.

Winning the overall #1 and getting Bedard had to be high on that list. I'm betting they already have a plan how they would move forward from here.
