Most of us got over that a year ago because the organization had a major overhaul between now and then, the only ‘bad guy’ left from that is Rocky… and while we don’t like him at all he somehow refuses to step down despite 20 yokels from a hockey board making strident demands.

Most teams have a dark skeleton in their closet:
Rangers and penguins signing convicted pedo Brian Tibbets.
Ducks and antisemitism with Jason Bailey.
Bertuzzi.
Hockey Canada’s WJC scandals.
Derrek Boogard.
The numerous abusive coaches.
Flyers staff getting cancer from toxic substances.

All but one of these pales in comparison to the Beach incident. But the fact is that even the most die hard fans have gotten over the disaster.

Folks coming in here to be petty… your tears are delicious.

No need to poop on Kane. And keep in mind Bedard hasn’t done anything in the NHL yet and has a long way to go to be in the same conversation as Kane.

I will only say it once: Connor Bedard is a better shooter right now than Pat Kane is/was.

When we visit Chicago my favourite thing to get is the Italian beef.

Now that Bedard is all but selected does KD have the balls to see if he can pry the number two pick away from the Ducks? Would they have interest in a package of first and second picks?

Here in California you have to get used to fresh ingredients (Arugula/Fennel/Basil) Omelettes are different too, with fresh ingredients on top not gadempte in the middle.

Relatively new, haven't been there yet. They have a Portillo's in Orange County also. Vienna beef is relatively scarce in the LA area.

He will continue to add muscle and has to adjust to the difference sin size and speed, but his shot is better than anyone since Bossy.

I cannot criticize myself let alone Bedard, or C jones.

I watched an interview a while ago 2 guys, i think from bar stool sports, with Poles and Eberflus said there are only 2 winners at the end of the year the super bowl winner and the team that gets the 1st pick in the draft. Such a true statement, by the way it was a very entertaining interview.

Its so different today to think we might have an elite player, the best forward in the NHL soon. I was entertained with generating picks, AHL team competing and how KD was going to build this club. I was optimistic before but now I'm giddy.

Growing up in the NW suburbs, NW Indiana and Japan, always thought deep dish pizza was the Chicago pizza, now hearing that thin crust is the real Chicago pizza is shocking.

Sure enough last weekend, friend in from Japan and one from Hawaii, brought them to Gino's East near Michigan Ave/Japanese consulate for... authentic Chicago deep dish pizza. Pleasantly surprised because growing up, always favored Lou's (the one in Elk Grove and one in Schaumburg) but that Gino's East really hit one out of the park.

There's actually a Chicago deep dish pizza place in Tokyo called Devil Craft run by an Aussie. Pizza is terrible, like can tomatoes on a much thinner bed of cheese and sadly that's what those living in Japan think proper deep dish pizza is.

I listed to the guys at CHGO Blackhawks interview Dach, Korchinski and Allan about a number of topics including Bedard. They actually raved about how great he is off the ice and what a high-character person he is. Chicago needs that as much as they need all-star talent.

At 17 Bedard's shot is pretty near (or better) than where McDavid's is at now. Its an NHL shot that finds the spots goaltenders can't cover.

Oh yea!! Dubois is built for NHL playoff hockey. Dude will score goals, knock people down, can skate with elite players, can play center or wing and is still just 24 yrs old. I don't wanna trade for him though. Wanna wait until he's a UFA after next season so as not to lose assets.

But for all the jokes about the cap with Bedard's big number in a few yrs the time to start thinking about the 2027 cap is today!!

KD was here for all the cup yrs and saw what cap hell looks like from the inside. Hopin he has a plan to limit the damage as he wins cups.
