There has been conjecture on this board if KD would pick up a bad contract There was an admission of available cap room and just maybe the gain out of it would be to acquire another early draft pick

You know, maybe now, trading #19 and one of the other later selection isn't as much off an issue, since you just got the best shooter in the NHL to begin your draft night.

Now, a move up into the top 16 seems not a huge loss of an early pick someone else might want a second.

According to the draft pick value chart the 19th and 35th pick is equal to about the 9th pick in the draft. It could be worth investigating. Maybe because this is a special draft you have to add a 4th or 5th round pick.

Anyone mentioning Kane to come back to Bhawks to mentor Bedard is a joke...Bedard is so much than Kane at same age...Kane had so many immaturity and growing up to do... Don't need Kane, don't need Toews...we need skaters and tough dudes to build around....

Congratulations. Unlike when they drafted Kane, the Blackhawks have a few good defencemen already drafted and maturing in the system so they will all be hitting their primes at the same time as Bedard👍
