I'd agree but Foligno is 35 now and hasn't stayed healthy for a few yrs. I like Hathaway and/or Bjugstad and maybe a Reeves too. Bjugstad IIRC plays center.

This is great, talking about players to play with Bedard

It's wild, this Blackhawks team will have to be built around a super star, instead of the way it happened with Toews and Kane.

God Bless, Wiz. This is especially wonderful for old timers.... Now, get to work on who they pick at #19.

Can only win the lottery twice in a 5 year span, so one more opportunity for the #1 pick in the next 4 years.

I forgot they had an agreement to bring Domi back.

Bring Chicago area native J C Compher.

Bring the 'cat back!

Hope big left shooting wing Colby Barlow is on the board at #19

Look at Kasper Halttunen really hard.

Can Eduard Šalé last to #17, or #18, where a trade up is do-able?

If not just take you falls into the new Blackhawk future playoff team.

You know, maybe now, trading #19 and one of the other later selection isn't as much off an issue, since you just got the best shooter in the NHL to begin your draft night.

Now, a move up into the top 16 seems not a huge loss of an early pick someone else might want a second.
PHILLY HAS NO SECOND Rounder.
Would they send slot # 7 for #19 AND #35? Doubtful.

Vancouver Has NO second rounder, and #11 maybe where we can really capitalize on getting a player that compliments Bedard well, and #19 and #35 look a fair value for an eight slot jump.

(I thought I said goodnight already.)

I cannot shut my brain off...

Who's your early pick for 1st overall next yr?.... Being a Steel fan and watching Celebrini all yr I'm sold on the kid but man, Eiserman is a 200 ft beast who can score 60 goals!!

By the way, Celebrini back from Worlds, suited up for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals and got hurt in the 2nd period. They play Game 3 of a best of 5 tied 1-1 at Youngstown tonight and Celebrini is scratched.

The 2024 TB and 2025 TOR picks are top 10 protected. So if they bite the dust and are bottom 10's in those years the picks revert to non protected for the following year. Those picks would be eligible to win the lottery if they are at least bottom 11 at the time since teams can only move up 10 slots.

My mind is scrambled. Hoping a night of sleep gets my bearings back and I can think more clearly. We'll have 50 articles to read tomorrow!!

I just would not let myself believe they'd get the #1 so I'm getting up to speed. Was hoping for the #2 cuz no way we were getting the #1.

Think that ship sailed.

Is he getting that lower body injury worked on this summer?

He says he's gonna think about it for a week or two then decide if he needs surgery. Kane was exposed in the NJ series so IMO he probably should get the hip(?) fixed.

Will Bedard's first jersey feature a "C"?

Would you all give up Bedard if NJ came calling with both Hughes brothers?

Even with Bedard, next year they could still be a bottom feeder. I won't be greedy and will be happy with #2 next draft.

KD will change his UFA targets to get the right players not only to help his development but to protect him. Definitely can see Domi back now.
- rpeters01

Great call. I liked the idea of getting Domi back cuz he's a decent top 6, plays hard, will fight and to get to the cap floor and that was before they won the lottery. Now that they get Bedard having Domi back to skate with him makes 100 times more sense. ..... Has the feet and hands to play with Bedard and you know he'd protect him like his 1st born.

Love the idea of Domi signing for 3-4 yrs and the Hawks could pay him more than anyone else cuz they need to get to the cap floor.
