I like him also. Danielson if we want a 200’ 3C. Still I’m a trade down fan for the right deal. Big range of prospects in & around 11th & later.

Willander is rising a lot late charge up the rankings. Do you like him as a RSD? Maybe 11OA too high? Trade down?

Trade down.

Not a fan on reaching for D in the 1st round. Too often the risk isn’t worth it. Definitely don’t want another winger. Reinbacher seems a safe pick if there. ASP needs a very good defensive LHD which we don’t have imo. Simashev LHD still looks like he’d be a very nice pick but also in a trade down. Willander is a curiosity but again not reaching for him.

So much is dependent on if Allvin can move out cap. Has to be the big priority. Boeser is in for a bounce back & GM’s probably low ball us. Myers is a TDL candidate. Garland by sheer deduction is most likely to go. Sign Gavrikov on a fair deal if cap space is gained. 2024 offseason Peace RHD is UFA & would be a real gem if we could sign him. A big IF 🤪

I'd love to see them win a couple of cups before the Canucks.
- A_SteamingLombardi

At this point in my life I’d just like to see the Flyers and Canucks be competitive and fun to watch again. The Coyotes will probably be better, quicker, than both the Flyers and the Canucks.

If you have the patience to go find what the scouts say about the prospects in Lefty's forum. Those 4 scouts had good things to say but viewed both Moore and Danielson as having limited upside.

From Lefty's scouts blog.

Scout 3: Danielson carries a little bit more skill than a player like Samuel Honzek and a little bit more speed, although Honzek is heavier and has a bit more grit in his game. He’s a nice prospect, but just outside the top-10 feels a bit high.

Scout 4: Danielson is really interesting. He’s been a highly touted kid for a while, lot of pedigree, in terms of his tools it’s all there. He’s blindingly fast in a straight line, he’s got good hands. I’m not sure there’s a ton of upside, because I just haven’t seen the hockey sense. He can be a bit one-dimensional five-on-five. I don’t think a team drafting him is going to be getting a future fixture in the top-six, he presents more like a mid-six, two-way guy with how solid he can be defensively and how proficient he is with his speed.

Scout 2: With Danielson, I’m a middle first round rating for him. I really like him, I would take him on my team any day, I just don’t know if he has enough offence to be taken that high.

Honzek is fine a well, they had me at "heavier and grit".

Honzek is projected as a winger and not a center though. At 11 it really is a massive toss up.

Danielson, Yager, Honzek, Heidt, ASP, Reinbacher, Dvorsky, Moore, Barlow, Sale, Wood have all been in and around 11th spot in this draft.

One scout said that ASP and Reinbacher don't project as a top line defenders but ASP shows as a #3 defender and same with Reinbacher.

You would most likely take a top 6 center over a #3 defender but not a middle 6 center.

Does a 2c have more value than a 3RD though?

There's always the guys that drop. Seeing how VAN isn't destined to win a draft lottery, how about letting another great player like QH falls to them again?
