I think we were 4 points away from dead last and tied for 3rd- worst at our lowest point. All top 5 are can’t miss this year.


Someone good will have to fall to where we’re at, but we’re going to draft another European Defenseman that becomes a 1sr rd Bust. Book it.

Yes, I’m not saying I like him, I don’t. I find his meltdowns with the leafs very enjoyable. But we’ve been stuck in mediocrity for 10 years now, and with the exception of the Judd B years we seem to keep scouting and drafting/developing the same unsuccessful way.

If it wasn’t for Judd, we wouldn’t have EP40 or QH.

The scouting/development departments really need some changes. I’m done with the loyalty to old players philosophy if it never works.

Ron Delorme actually found EP40, QH sort of just fell to us. Hell, I even knew about QH.

As I understand it Judd was mostly in on the US players, I could be wrong.

I am not that high on drafting as others, I like a GM to be a bit of a gambler and pick up other teams problems like FLA VGK CAR SEA.

He’s just upset the Leafs are about to get swept and needs to deflect his anger on something else. Don’t fall into his trap, he’s just having a childish meltdown.

The truth is, no one knows how far away the Canucks from making the playoffs or being competitive. I mean, who thought Seattle would have a 100 point season this year after a 60 point season last year.

You just keep adding and drafting one player at a time, stacking them up eventually, until you find something that works. There’s no direct clear path, just keep chipping away at it until you find a combination that works.
