I doubt that at this point given that it was Brooks who reported it. He knows how these things work with sources letting information out. He was on the mark with Gallant being let go after the Rangers didn't put anything out there defending him in the 48 hours after. Clearly the Rangers wanted to nip the Q rumours before they could really take off, probably after having some internal discussions about it and then Drury or someone else high up letting Brooks know.

Wonder how close the league revenue is to moving the cap up $4M vs $1M. Feel like the Leafs need to push this series as far as possible and EDM needs to win this series. 4 smaller market teams in the final 4 probably wont move the needle enough. Go Canada
