Id rather trade Chytil than the 1st round pick and try to find a legit 2C to bump Trochek down to 3C.

For whatever you guys think I dont think he will ever manifest into a legit 2C nor do I believe he has the mentality to be a 3C. Feels like fitting a square peg into a round hole.

Outside of his 82 point season last season on a team with 2 100+ point scorers, Lindholm hasn't done anything that i don't think Chytil could do given the right ice time and coach

Lindholm is a 200ft player, Chytil is not. Lindholm has been a Selke nominee, even finished 2nd last year... Chytil will never breathe that air. Career 52.7% on faceoffs to Chytil's 40%.

You might be right about Chytil, but I suspect (and very much hope) that some of these players will look very different in a new system.

So I will pass along this scenario that was just presented to me.

Dubas leaves Toronto to become Pittsburgh GM, brings Keefe with him, as such fires Mike Sullivan, who in turn becomes free (assuming permission) to become NYR HC.

The name I keep seeing as a FA is PLDubois, but Ive read numerous reports that he wants to play for MTL. This situation keeps evoking something I thought about at the draft, what if LAF doesnt have the heart to play here and he wants to be in MTL?

They have a bunch of guys that 'can' play center, but only Suzuki, Dvorak and Evans are mainstays at the position. PLD would slot in as their 2C and theyd be set.

Hes really better suited for RW, Dach is worse at faceoffs than Chytil.

Unfortunately you have some mouth breathing neanderthal's who, after winning the draft lottery, would go from thread to thread to see what everyone was writing about it. Unfortunately for them, it was like a page or 2 of us saying how we were relieved it wasnt CBJ and unbothered about it.
