All the articles and all the talk about the Flames letting go Chucky was the worse mistake Flames have made is annoying me so much. Everywhere they are saying, he is the reason Panthers are doing so well. He is an elite player that everyone needs and Flames lost him for Hubby who is no good. I really hope Hubby proves people wrong in the upcoming season. Man, I remember when I thought we did ok in that trade. Now all media and all writers saying that this is the best trade in the history of the Panthers franchise. Flames are a mess right now.

Time to pick a new direction, this team needs a reboot. Sell off the UFA’s, Devils have done a quick turnaround, it doesn’t have to be a Buffalo, Arizona type fix.

I suffered through it. Really like that Dryden Hunt, he looks like a great addition for the bottom 6. Klapka looks good, starting to think Phillips may be too small for the show but until he’s given a fair shake, you never know.

I missed the game. For some reason fan960 was not working for me.

I read one article stating that the Flames will not let other teams talk to Tre. That his still under contract till the end md of the month. That does not sound like a very amicable way to do business.

I read another article talking about how Gallant would be the perfect coach for Calgary. I like Gallant but the fact he has been dumped by three teams in a row is concerning.

The Tre thing might have something to do with the draft. I feel the same way about Gallant, time for the Flames to break the chain and bring in new people with fresh ideas. We’ve been treading for far too long, somethings got to break.
I’d be fine with Conroy as GM, Huskas head coach, bring up Love as his assistant, iginlas got one more year on his contract in Kelowna then bring him in as another assistant. This team needs a complete management tear down.
Trade a couple of our future UFA’s at the draft for some more picks, then a couple more at the trade deadline. I’d keep Zadorov, ( he was my favourite D this year) Kylington, and one of Lindholm or Toffoli.
Hanifin at the draft would fetch a boatload, many teams looking for top 4 D.

Good post.

I would be fine with Conroy as GM but I would like to have a couple old mentors kicking around to help him out.

I also like the idea of giving Love some time as assistant coach to get his feet wet in the big leagues.

Maloney is there to oversee Conroy. I don’t get that the media is pushing all these other assistants GM’s when we’ve been grooming one ourselves. Maybe they think he’s too nice?

Bob Murrey. I think he became a scout or something. As far as I know he is still in the Flames organization.

I've been a fan since 1980 and the choice of the next GM will influence my decision if it's time to change teams. I want to see signs that ownership and management are finally serious about managing responsibly.

Not listed on the Flames website anymore. Tough to say whether he’s still with Calgary. Probably just worked out of California.
