Othmann, Jones, And Cuyle coming in making less then 3 million combined will be good.

Unless othmann shows he’s 100% ready he should play in Hartford to start

I remember they loved him in camp last September, raving about his work ethic

I mean he may be forced to play here given his cap hit.

Edit: Because if it 's not him, it'll be a guy like Leschyshyn or Brodzinski

Can he play in Hartford next year or does he have to go back to juniors if he's not in the NHL?

Thanks. Well I'd rather him play in Hartford if he's not ready and let him develop properly instead of forcing him in the lineup just to keep Brodzinski out. We can't keep rushing these young guys and putting them in positions where they are destined to fail.

If he's ready and is going to get playing time I'm all for it but they can't ruin this kid

My gut tells me he’ll be ready. Maybe play 10-15 games in Hartford to start. He’ll be 21 in January, not a kid anymore!

Jimmy I can not understand how any Rangers fan would ever want to trade Adam Fox. It’s actually humiliating in my eyes as a Rangers fan for someone to even post such a thing. Am I crazy???

** If anyone is wondering it’s in reference to ranger fans posting on NYR Facebook page after they release Fox is a Norris candidate.

I don't think we should trade Adam Fox. With that being said, he gets paid a lot of money for a guy who collects most of his points on the power play, isn't a shut down guy when he doesn't have his safety blanket Lindgren out there with him, and disappeared offensively the last 5 games of the series, while having some of his worst defensive outings. 9.5 Million is a lot of money to tied up in 1 player. I think there's a reason why the rangers waited until the 2025-2026 season to have his no move clause kick in. His Base salary the next 2 seasons is high, then it drops a little, then it drops a ton and most of it is signing bonuses.

If you think of hockey as a business, and not something you're a fan of you can see by all mentioned above the Rangers management has almost set up his contract to be traded easily, not for the next 2 seasons, but after that for sure.

I mean, Tom was putting up his advanced stats all season and they are fantastic, so he's not just a powerplay merchant

he also scored 12 goals this season, and only 1 was on the powerplay

I don't want tp trade Fox, but after game 7 I want nobody on this roster or in the organization gain recognition. So let somebody else win the Norris.

Makar isn't a Ranger. I don't care if his poor play impacts the Avs.

it's unbelievable how well Fox played in the three playoff wins and how poorly he played in the four losses

but they need a guy to step up on the blueline when Fox is having a bad night and nobody was capable of doing it

Agreed but I also think Fox needs to recognize when he's having an off night and reign it in a bit. He's our best player besides Igor so it's tough to criticize too much but in some of those playoff games he was just trying to do too much.

I get he has pressure to produce when nobody else is but there are times that he could be smarter about it

I've calmed down enough to join the discussion.
I feel like I remember Fox taking a shot in the hand at the beginning of the series and going off the ice in pain. I bet we find out that was a lingering issue.

He definitely had some tough games this year (very few), although the majority of them from my memory was when Lindgren was out and he was still adjusting the playing with Mikkola.

This was definitely the first time I've seen him have as many bad ones in such a short period of time though. Crazy after starting the series with a 4 assist game 1.

Just to be clear, I'm not worried at all about Fox and he's worth the money he makes. Just an observation to nitpick

Sorry to hear that man. Is she comfortable? (AS much as possible in the situation I mean.)
