Several reasons. I think they're looking to make a change because of the way things went down obviously.

Plus it's New York. Dolan likes big names. And Panarin played great under Quenville in Chicago. Maybe he can help him get his head out of his ass in the playoffs.

Panarin played great under Quinn and Gallant also...but not so much in the playoffs for any of them including Q

I wouldn't want that dude anywhere near my organization. The way things went down with he and Stan Bowman are pure poison.

Granted y'all traded for Kane too so I guess that's less of a concern.

How much is on the coach and how much is on certain players not being big time performers when it matters most?

I think you need to come out like gangbusters in a game 7 and they looked like bunch of wussycats

True, how would we be feeling if we had lost 2-1 in OT, or 6-5 in OT?

I just don't know if development is the reason these two guys can't score goals though

IMO, they don't have natural god given finishing ability

- jimbro83

It’s definitely possible. But they’ve been elite prospects at other levels. Personally, I think it’s confidence more than anything. Over-thinking leading to being a second late/hesitating to take the shot etc. I think the right coach can change that but who knows!

I'm not disagreeing with you. But I'm not James Dolan either.

we have people here who only discuss the topic from the point of view of what they would do. I always take the angle of what I think the Rangers will do, because I don't think my opinion matters and is a waste of time.

I bet losing in game 7 would ruin his Summer and/or Christmas.

I agree with you on this Jimbo...often times people forget that their opinions don't hold the water they think they do.
